I won By Wishtrend Quad Active Boosting Essence and By Wishtrend Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule from a giveaway hosted by by Dewbaes on Instagram and was pretty excited about using them as they were my first Wishtrend products.

By Wishtrend Quad Active Boosting Essence is formulated with an anti-acne complex and a myriad of moisturising ingredients, as well as its 'Quad Active' Ingredients: 3 Complex Ingredients (Morus Alba Bark Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Leaf Extract, Schisandra Chinensis Fruit Extract), Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Water, and Propolis to help with anti-inflammatory, anti-pollution, and anti-bacterial effects. It works hard to transform the complexion to healthy and lively skin.
It is a gentle, daily essence that helps to balance the pH levels, reduce inflammation and effectively moisturise and rehydrate skin.

For the uninitiated, "Quad Active" refers to a blend of 4 different active ingredients - 3-Complex ingredients 26.4% (Morus Alba Bart Extract 8.7%, Nelumbo Nucifera Leaf Extract 8.7%, Schisandra Chinensis Fruit Extract 9%), Salix Alba Bark Extract 10%, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Water 9% and Propolis Extract 1%.

The clear contents have no scent, are runny and lightweight but can be tacky that requires some time for it to be absorbed, leaving skin soft and smooth.
It provides a calming and comforting sensation with cotton pads and can also be poured onto palms and pat lightly on skin to be absorbed which left skin revitalized and prepped for the next step in the skincare routine.
The boosting essence is not greasy but always gentle and soothing. It can be layered several times, but tackiness can be a concern as it takes awhile to be absorbed.
This essence is recommended to be used after toner and before serum but I prefer to use it as a toner due to its fresh and lightweight consistency and my short routine preference.
Said to be a one product wonder to boost moisture levels in skin while helping to fight acne and keep skin clear, it also helps to improve the texture, tone and appearance of skin thanks to its high-quality ingredient formulation, I like how effortlessly easy it is to incorporate By Wishtrend Quad Active Boosting Essence into my short routine for smooth, soft and healthy skin.
With its propolis extract from the Auvergne region of France and 46% natural ingredients, it fills moisture to skin with freshness and the fermented moisturizing ingredients make skin smooth and healthy.
According to Wishtrend, there are 3 tips to use Quad Active Boosting Essence :
1) Replace your facial toner: It is as light and fresh as a toner. When you wish to keep your skincare routine light or when your skin feels too sensitive that you wish to skip your normal cotton pad + toner step, simply apply this essence as the first step after cleansing.
2) Do double serum and use it as the first step serum: At days when skin needs the extra care you are looking for whether it is calming, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial or brightening care, try a double serum routine – where you can give skin the most nutrients you need. Add the essence before your normal serum routine and enjoy the double serum step without leaving skin greasy or uncomfortable.
3) Replace your facial serum: If you have hard time working with thick serums, consider this essence as your serum replacement. Especially if you expect calming and anti-inflammatory in your skincare routine, several layers of this essence will give that exact care yet leave skin feeling refreshed. For those who find the propolis ampoule too thick and oily, this can be a great replacement.
Overall, with twice daily usage for 3 weeks, By Wishtrend Quad Active Boosting Essence helped to soothe and calm skin, while making my skin looked healthier and felt better. I like that its lightweight and layered well with other products.
That said, I didn't notice any difference to my skin texture or boosting the efficacy of the rest of the products in my routine as claimed since they worked relatively well regardless of this boosting essence.
This might work well for those with acne-prone or sensitive skin though but it won't be a repurchase for me.

Suitable for sensitive and acne-prone skin, By Wishtrend Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule contains polyphenol, flavonoid and Houttuynia Cordata extract to soothe fatigue, promotes antioxidants while strengthening skin’s immune system.
The Propolis Extract obtained from the Auvergne volcanic region in France contains two Polyphenols, Catechin and Quercetin which are good antioxidants and effective ingredients for the nourishment of the skin.
Houttuynia Cordata Extract and Zinc PCA help soothe the skin and has antibacterial properties. Moisturizing agents such as Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, and Betaine effectively provides moisture to the skin.
Free from sulfates, essential oils, fragrances, colorants and silicone and is not tested on animals, this highly-raved ampoule is housed in a tinted transparent glass dropper bottle with 30ml of colourless contents. It has a mild honey-propolis scent with a subtle oily base during application.

An immediate soothing sensation ensues with a light tackiness that takes awhile to absorb into skin. While the ampoule appeared to have a lightweight gel texture but it actually felt slightly greasy with a hint of shine on my face.
I have to confess that I didn't like this ampoule initially due to its slightly greasy base and the shine on my combination skin but with regular use, I appreciate how it calmed my skin ( redness not gone though ) and sometimes, gave rise to beautiful glowing skin. My skin just looked calmed and rested the following morning.
And while I don't have a recurring acne issue, I do have random breakouts once in a while and I do notice that having this ampoule in my routine helps to keep new red blemishes from "erupting" while soothing them and they gradually disappeared. I didn't even use any spot treatments.
And if you have a Vitamin C serum in your routine, it is recommended to use the ampoule 3 - 4 minutes after your Vitamin C serum for optimal effect.
That said, By Wishtrend Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule isn't as hydrating as what my skin needs, so a moisturiser is much needed for my combination with surface dehydrated skin. Note that I used this primarily as a serum and followed up with a moisturiser.
Adding on, it isn't the easiest to pair with, as it looked greasy when I paired it with Axis-y Heartleaf My Type Calming Cream but was perfect with Celimax Dual Barrier Skin Wearable Cream. Strangely, I also experienced random red patches and itch once but thankfully, it subsided after a couple of minutes.

Overall, with twice daily usage for 3 weeks, By Wishtrend Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule has calmed my skin moderately well where new blemishes were soothed and gradually disappeared.
However, I am not a fan of its oil base and the shine on my T-zone due to my skin type and the humid weather in Singapore, hence it won't be a repurchase.

Conclusion
To conclude, pairing both products day and night ( By Wishtrend Quad Active Boosting Essence & Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule ) for 3 weeks had calmed and soothed my skin, whilst keeping blemishes at bay. They were nourishing but not hydrating enough for my skin type. Shine was obvious on my skin which isn't my cup of tea.
That said, I haven't tried many Propolis products but my favourite Honey & Propolis mask is still Papa Recipe Bombee Honey Mask.
