I purchased Rainbow Research Henna & Biotin Herbal Shampoo from Iherb after reading many positive reviews. With my crown getting flatter, I wanted to try some hair loss shampoo and this presented itself with its reviews. 

Rainbow Research is a family owned and operated company since 1976 making natural body care products.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Rainbow Research Henna & Biotin Herbal Shampoo is housed in a 360ml plastic pump bottle with an exotic scent that took awhile to get used to. Its not overpowering but its just different. 

The bottles are BPA-free and there is no animal testing, artificial colouring and fragrance.

Performance and Ingredients

Made in USA, the runny shampoo lathers well with foam and cleans effectively. The mild formula is said to add shine, body and conditioning to all hair colors and types and does not irritate the scalp or skin as it brings out your natural highlights.

Made with Neutral (colorless) Henna and Organic Extracts of Marigold, Chamomile, Soy, Lemon Grass and Aloe Vera, Rainbow Research Henna & Biotin Herbal Shampoo is suitable for normal or color treated hair.

Indeed, it made my hair soft and shiny and look healthier unfortunately, it doesn't help strengthen my hair or support new hair growth. There was hair fall and it increases the more I used the shampoo. Running my fingers through my hair also loosen some strands. 

If not for the hair fall, I really enjoyed using the shampoo as it was never drying so I don't need a conditioner. 

Disappointed and not a repurchase!

Conclusion

To conclude, Rainbow Research Henna & Biotin Herbal Shampoo sounds like a promising shampoo which did deliver on some fronts, like healthier, shiny and soft hair but unfortunately, there was increased hair fall as I almost emptied the shampoo.

I received Naruko Jing Cheng 60 Actives Ultimate Moisturizer, together with other goodies as a Christmas gift from Artisan Glam some time back, with no obligation to review. However, I was excited to incorporate this moisturizer to my skincare routine as its time to include more anti-aging products for my age so its time to share my thoughts after almost emptying it.

The full retail size of Naruko Jing Cheng 60 Actives Ultimate Moisturizer is 120ml while the product I received is a 50ml travel size that comes in a red tube form with a pump dispenser. 

The box packaging is in deep red with small black fonts which aren't the easiest to read. Floral scent was rather strong in a white buttery formula which can be toned down.

Its been 8 years since I last used a Dr. Hauschka product as they weren't particularly memorable. I have previously reviewed Dr. Hauschka Rose Day Cream Light and Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream but I didn't like it enough to repurchase them.

My husband supported her by buying products from her during each meetup which reminded me of long lost friends who tried to sell insurance to me without trying to understand my needs. This doesn't go well with me, of course, but that is a story for another day. 

If you really want to support a friend and try Mary Kay products, then I highly recommend Mary Kay Deep Cleansing Charcoal Mask which I will review in a couple of months. Its pretty good, especially for those with acne-prone and oily skin.

Sometimes I like products formulated for children, as they are gentle for my sensitive skin such as EssentiQ Shower Gel and Shampoo 2 in 1 with Aloe Vera and Berries ( For Kids ), however, not every product is a perfect fit. I disliked Earth Mama Calming Lavender Baby Wash which was too drying. 

Started since 1950, Mustela is a French family brand and is B Corp certified which refers to a business meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials.

Mustela Very High Protection Sun Lotion SPF 50+ looked promising so I added it to my cart, but unfortunately, it wasn't the one for me. Lets delve down to see why...

I purchased Naturalite Organic Permanent Hair Colour in Chocolate 3.07 shade. It has a scent but acceptable as its neither overpowering nor choking. An instruction sheet is included and I like the clear and simple instructions which were much better than the one in Naturigin Organic Based 100% Permanent Hair Colour.

Naturalite Organic Permanent Hair Colour is a nourishing colouring cream with organic aloe extract, organic argan oil, organic olive oil and organic jojoba oil. It is 100% ammonia and paraben free, retains moisture and protects the hair from damage without causing discomfort or an unpleasant smell. No Parabens. No Resorcinol. No Ammonia. No PPD. 

It has garnered 2 awards namely Her World Hair Awards 2017 Winner and Beauty Insider Winner of Beauty & Wellness Awards 2016. 

According to the brand, the recommended shades to cover grey hair are 2.0, 3.0, 3.07, 4.0, 4.07, 5.3 and 5.55

My hubby helped to colour my hair with Naturalite Organic Permanent Hair Colour ( Chocolate 3.07 ). The usage is more or less the same as other hair dyes, where you pour the colour cream into activator and shake well before use. 

We spent 30 minutes on colouring the hair, with both gloves and comb, and waited for another 30 minutes before washing off with shampoo. There was so much colour on the bathroom floor during rinsing that I almost thought this DIY was a failure. Luckily, it managed to cover about 90% of my greys. 

My hair was clumpy and dry during rinsing so instead of using the Naturalite Moisturising Mask sachet included in the box as the last step, I use it like a pre-shampoo treatment to soften the hair before using shampoo-ing.

The end colour was darker than I wanted and my hair was slightly frizzy after air-dried. However, I really like how my hair was soft and non-drying days after colouring, unlike other hair dyes I have used before.

ORGANIC OLIVE OIL : Rich in vitamins A and E to prevent hair damage, keeping the hair strong and glossy

HYDROLYSED WHEAT PROTEIN : Contributes richness and has skin protective properties with ability to attract and bind moisture

To conclude, Naturalite Organic Permanent Hair Colour in Chocolate 3.07 shade was easy to use and dark enough to colour my greys. I like the moisturising mask which made my hair so soft and pudding-like, however, I used it as pre-shampoo treatment wash, rather than like a conditioner though.

I have a soft spot for EO products which stands for Essential Oils. Relaxing and calming, their body washes make a good relaxing shower time morning or night. You can check out the range of EO body washes I have reviewed before. 

When my shower washes ran out, I lurked around Iherb, looking for new body washes and EO French Lavender Shower Gel comes to mind.

EO French Lavender Shower Gel  is housed in a 473ml blue tinted plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The shower gel scented with Lavender was such a joy and I looked forward to using it everyday. 

Performance and Ingredients

No regrets in purchasing this as I loved it so much. It lathers lightly, smells great and is never drying. 

The beautiful floral scent of Lavender pure essential oil relaxes and soothes the senses with every use.

This gentle and nourishing body wash formula is made with gentle coconut-derived cleansers, organic botanical extracts like Fig + Hop, and beautifully scented with pure essential oils.

There was no harsh detergents, no parabens, no phthalates, no synthetic fragrance, and no dyes. It is also vegan and cruelty free, GMO free, gluten free, polysorbate free, and disodium EDTA free.
