Also known as rose hydrosol, it is derived from the condensed steam produced during distillation of rose essential oil. The oily component is the essential oil and the watery portion is the rose distillate. I received a 5g sample of the Rose Day Cream Light during my last Lovelula product purchase. After hearing much raves about their Rose Day Cream, I am glad to get a chance to try it out. I have been using it as a day cream in the morning after Fancl Deep Moisture Lotion and Beauty Concentrate.
The rose day cream light has a light rose fragrance with a light texture that left a light moisturizing veil on the skin without being greasy.
According to Paula, the product consists mainly of water, sesame oil and alcohol. And the rose flower water and extract adds fragrance which is a potential irritant. Other fragrance components like eugenol can be irritating for skin and problematic in the presence of sunlight.
Personally, I feel that this moisturizer is too light, probably suitable for those with oily skin as it fails to hydrate sufficiently on my combination and dehydrated skin. I don't see any improvement even though I have been using it for the past month.
