Review : Lancome Advanced Genifique Hydrogel Melting Mask

Review for Lancome Advanced Genifique Hydrogel Melting Mask

Product Description
The Hydrogel Melting Mask delivers results which are instantly visible on the skin. Containing the star ingredients of Advanced Genifique serum, the probiotic extracts activate the skin's beauty and help strengthen its barrier function by giving it access to all the vital resources it needs. Of these probiotic extracts, the Hydrogel Melting Mask is most concentrated in Bifidus. It not only helps strengthen the skin's barrier function by improving its quality and resistance to external stress, it also helps provide the skin with intense hydration.

It features a special heat-sensitive hydrogel mesh which melts into a fluid at skin temperature and therefore releases its active ingredients on contact with skin. Upon application, the mask half-melts into the skin with a soft, pleasant texture that glides across the face. The mask leaves skin moisturised with a supple, radiant finish. Skin is neither greasy nor sticky.

Containing the same amount of probiotic extract as a bottle of Advanced Genifique, Lancome Advanced Genifique Hydrogel Melting Mask is a great way to improve your skin condition instantly, just before an important event. I used it the day before attending a wedding dinner, just so that I can look younger, better and more radiant around relatives whom I have not seen for several months. It never hurts to look better, right?

I had the chance to try out Lancome Advanced Genifique Hydrogel Melting Mask recently as my last Tangs Beauty Box came with it. The mask is moist and has a strong fragrance and the material is slippery so its best to be careful while removing the white and clear protective covers on both sides, just before layering on the skin.

The cutting is alittle odd though, as compared to other masks which I have used before. It seems to be made for those with higher forehead while the eye cutout area is alittle low, hence leaving a large portion of the undereye area uncovered.

The adherence is bad, as there are flaps hanging in mid-air where the chin is, and I have to keep pressing on it, so that my skin can absorb the essence from the mask.

There are 3 options to using the mask - 10 minutes for a quick skin prep before make-up application, 20 minutes to enhance your glow throughout the day or 30 minutes to boost your beauty sleep before bed. And of course I chose the 30 minutes masking just before I turn in for the night.

After a 30 minute masking session, I am pleased to see that my face has more radiance, is smoother and plumper although there is redness on both cheeks which disappeared after 10 minutes. The hydrogel mask also seemed to be thinner and less slippery than before.

You can watch the video for a demonstration of the mask usage.

This is a luxury mask and is not for everyone, but if you have an upcoming important event, it may be a good splurge in order to look good, if most masks which you have in your stash can't perform up to your mark.
