I have an obsession with eye masks. Because my undereye area is plagued with fine lines, dark circles and eye bags, I am always trying out different eye masks in the hope that my undereye area can look better. My issues are mainly hereditary and even with enough sleep, my eye area always look tired and dull. But despite knowing that eye mask is a temporary measure, I still hold on for that glimmer of hope, that at least my undereye area can look better for that one day event. So how does the gold eye patches fare?
Made in Korea, Milatte Fashiony Gold Hydrogel Eye Patch is nicely packed in a box, which reveal a round tube as shown above. Each piece of the crescent moon gold eye patch is stacked on top of each other and there is a spatula provided to lift up each hydrogel eye patch.
There is a light fragrance when you put your nose close to it, but it does not linger for long once you layered on the undereye area. Due to the hydrogel material, it can get slippery so one has to be careful when using it. In fact, it is also because of the slippery texture, that causes it to slip down easily when its layered on my skin and sometimes, essence drips down to my cheeks although strangely, it only occurs on the right undereye area.
The gold colour is glittery and pretty and makes you feel like its a premium product. I used it on a daily basis and you can see that the hydrogel patches have flattened slightly after a 30 minute eye spa session. It has a cooling and refreshing sensation during application.
Unfortunately, I only see a tiny improvement after more than 1 week of daily usage, where the fine lines were minimzed slightly. However, when I skipped using it the following day, my undereye area is back to square one and I have never been able to replicate the same result again.
