Made in Korea, CNP Laboratory Intensive Brightening Ampule + Power Brightening D-Day Mask is a 2 step masking session where you first apply the ampoule ( located at the top part ) and followed by the mask sheet ( located at the bottom part ).
Ampoule masks have become quite a hit in South Korea since 2 years ago. First, an ampoule, a more potent serum - is applied onto the skin. Then, a sheet mask is used over the ampoule to ensure that it all gets absorbed into the skin, bringing about multiple benefits that include brightening, moisturising and firming.
The CNP Laboratory Intensive Brightening Ampule contains Hyaluronic Acid and Rose Cabbage Flower Water to intensively moisturize skin for a clear complexion. It is a clear and sticky gel-like serum, generous in quantity. If there was any added fragrance, I did not smell it. Excess of the ampoule is used on my neck and arms to prevent any wastage. I layered on the mask promptly after the ampoule application.
The Power Brightening D-Day Mask contains Pearl extract and Malchite extract to intensively brighten skin tone and aids skin in detoxifying. Material of the sheet mask is thick and sturdy which makes adherence to skin not too perfect, leaving a slight gap on the chin ( the mask is hanging ). It has a hint of medicated scent which was not that unpleasant. The cutout of the mask fits well for my cherubic face shape.
After a 20 minute masking session, my skin looked brighter and glowing.
Alternatively, one can always apply a regular serum before applying a sheet mask. However, do note that when sheet masks are left on for too long, it can reverse the moisturising effect, drying your skin out. So never wear your sheet mask to sleep or wait till it dries out. The sheet mask should still feel wet when you remove it.
