Review : The History Of Whoo Gongjinhyang Essential Firming Mask

Review for The History Of Whoo Gongjinhyang Essential Firming Mask
Product Description
Give your skin the royal treatment with this luxury brand that claims to produce skincare based on a secret imperial formula. Enriched with concentrated collagen and golden silk protein, this mask is the path to firmer, softer and more radiant skin. It also helps fight wrinkles, not only on your face, but also those oft-neglected ones on your neck. This treatment is on the pricey side – after all, it is fit for a queen.

Main Ingredients : Antlers Extract, Korean Angelica Root Extract, Cornus Fruit Extract, Acanthopanas Extract, Dahurian Asparagus Extract

The History Of Whoo Gongjinhyang Essential Firming Mask marks my first foray in the prestige brand, said to be a brand fit for loyalty. It focuses on exclusive hanbang ingredients with the aesthetic feel of Korean royal culture on their elegant packaging.

Hanbang refers to herbal medicine which has now found its way to skincare, with the likes of Sulwhasoo and History of Whoo. Common hanbang ingredients such as ginseng, chaga mushroom, lotus root as well as various botanical and fermented extracts do not come cheap and they tend to be targeted for maturing skin, hence earning the misnomer of "ahjumma skincare".

There are several product lines from The History Of Whoo namely,
- Bichupaward-winning Bichup range is their classical essence that rejuvenates, reduces wrinkles and improves your complexion
Gongjinhyang : basic skin range to care for and protection the skin
- Gongjinhyang Soo : hydrating range with oxygenising benefits of purified water. Replenishes hydration and revitalises your skin
Gongjinhyang Seolwhitening range inspired by the luxurious beauty of south sea pearl, created to reveal luminously clear and brighter skin tone
Gongjinhyang Miluxurious makeup range formulated with the ancient anti-ageing treatment, Gongjinbidan, and combined with precious ingredients such as gold, amber and pearl, enhancing skin’s natural beauty
- Jinyulhyang : uses a a 5000-year-old royal court formula to nourish the skin with ‘life force resin’, combining red wild ginseng, safflower podium, Kamisoyosan and ‘Jeongiboyuldankwa’
- Cheongidan : holistic care range that works deep within the skin to fight signs of ageing and leave you with clear, bright skin
- Hwan yumiraculous formulations renew and revive using the cosmetic dual forces of Yin and Yang  ‘Gihyeolijeong’ to sense minute changes in your skin as you age and correct them instantly

Said to heighten skin's elasticity while promoting cell regeneration through the silk sheet mask, The History Of Whoo Gongjinhyang Essential Firming Mask comes across as a sturdy thin mask ( made from 100% natural inner skin of Bamboo Tree ) with a good cutting for my cherubic face shape.

The one and only mask I owned from The History Of Whoo, comes from the purchase of Tangs Beauty Box, and it has its own individual box packaging, sheet packaging and is folded within a protective netted sheet. There is a heavy fragrance which I can't tell its herbal but dissipated after a while.

The lifting and energy boosting mask is infused with anti-aging and radiance enhancing ingredients to help transform your complexion and promote healthy, youthful skin.

However, unfortunately, when it comes to firming masks, its difficult to tell, with just 1 sheet on the skin. I can't really see a difference after a 20 minute masking session. I probably may need several masks to see a marked difference and it may also be due to the fact that I do not have much aging concerns, except for the eye area which is not covered by the sheet mask.
