I have to disclose that when I first purchase Biotherm Life Plankton Mask, I seriously thought it was a rinse-off mask. The name did not reflect that it was an overnight mask and even after reading the description on the box where it mentioned that " apply to the whole face, as a leave-on mask in thin layer 1 ~ 2 times a week ", I still think that it was a rinse-off mask where it can also doubled up as an overnight mask.

Technically, a rinse-off mask is usually recommended to be used twice a week while an overnight mask can be used daily, so I still think that I was misled into buying an unnecessary overnight mask. I was elated when I first found this in Sephora, because being a Biotherm fan, I have been waiting for years for Biotherm to come up with their mask products. I love their moisturisers and the hydration that their products are able to provide for my skin. I know I can rely on them during overseas trips when my skin acts up, due to the weather conditions.

Seeing how popular Nature Republic 92% Soothing Gel is, I could not resist getting a tub when I was in Seoul late last year. Unfortunately, I did not like it as much as I thought.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Nature Republic 92% Soothing Gel comes in a round green plastic tub. The price is considered pretty affordable for its 300ml contents at 4400 won. There is a mixture of fresh aloe vera and strong alcohol scent which turned me off. The gel texture has a cooling and minty sensation with a sticky finishing that disappeared after about 2 minutes, leaving the skin smoother.

Mamonde Honeysuckle Lifting Flower Lab Essence Mask is a super adhesive mask featuring Honeysuckle flower extracts at 2,000 ppm that effectively deliver nutrients to the skin. The Honeysuckle flower is used for boosting your skin to provide anti-aging properties and to help your skin look hydrated, glowy and firmer!

This particular mask is made with a Serum Type essence to provide rich nutrients to your skin! The serum type essence is with abundant nourishment that leaves the skin smooth and luminous.
The Flower Lab Essence masks use a threefold filtering process produces tiny particles of 2000ppm flower extract components to facilitate effective absorption and create strong, healthy skin.
“Light Fit Cell” is a cellulose sheet that was extracted from tree pulp such as eucalyptus trees. It is soft and translucent and adheres closely to the skin to retain moisture for longer periods.

Mamonde Honeysuckle Lifting Flower Lab Essence Mask is made up of a thin and soft material that is comfortable on skin. However, the fragrance is too strong for my likes which is apparent even during the unfolding of mask for use.

The cold and refreshing sensation during masking is a welcome treat during the hot weather at night. After a 20 minute masking session, there is a subtle tightening sensation on the upper lips area, however, I am pleased with the effects. While its too early to notice any lifting effect, my skin was glowy and pores appeared smaller.

In terms of ingredients, the key ingredient, Honeysuckle is a plant extract that functions as an skin-soothing agent. It is a very good source of flavonoids and saponins, constituents that occur in many plants and convey antioxidant benefit. It is also known to improve uneven skin tone and dullness.

I purchased several sheets of Ariul 7 Days Mask when I was in Seoul late last year and has given most away, leaving the Green Tea variant for myself. The Ariul Seven Days Mask is said to be a quick, effective treatment for all different types of skin troubles from acne breakouts to redness to rough or dry skin by lack of sleep, overwork, UV or other known skin dangers.

Made in Korea, cruelty-free and does not contain parabens, mineral oil, triethanolamine and artificial dyes, Ariul Green Tea 7 Days Mask is totally soaked in essence and has a subtle green tea scent. It is recommended for oily and acne prone skin types.

Made of patented tencel mask sheet with 100% natural nutrients extracted from eucalyptus wood, the material of Green Tea 7 Days Mask is soft and comfortable with a good cutting, except for a gap between nose and cheeks. The high adhesive ability of the tencel mask sheet helps to ensure a comfortable fit and an advanced penetration of active ingredients.

Strangely, there is a subtle "spicy" sensation throughout the 20 minute masking session although there is no redness or itchiness on skin after removing the mask. Unfortunately, I don't see a difference to my skin.

In terms of ingredients, the key ingredients are
Camellia Sinensis Leaf (Green Tea) Extract - Rich in antioxidants, this ingredient provides anti-aging properties while helping to maintain firm and elastic skin and protect against sun damage.
Glycerin  - A humectant that will moisturize the skin by drawing water from the air into the skin’s outer layer while also forming a protective layer to prevent moisture loss.

To sum it up, this mask is not suitable for my skin type and I don't see a difference to my skin. Not a re-purchase for me.
