A good friend of mine, has been wow-ing about Skin Inc products for awhile and so, I decided to pop in by the store during one of our chit-chat sessions together. I have previously tried out Skin Inc Pure Deepsea Hydrating Mask and Skin Inc Renew Coenzyme Q10 more than 4 years ago but wasn't overly impressed then so perhaps its time to revisit the brand.

Skin Inc is a Singapore brand but their products are made in Japan, with 0% paraben and 0% scent. It has won over 100 awards from renowned beauty authorities and insiders across the globe. Said to be suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin, the brand is famed for their custom serums, with patented encapsulation technology from Japan. The caviar-inspired capsules protect active ingredients from exposure to light and oxidation, keeping them fresh and potent for maximum effectiveness. The serums are versatile and compatible with any skincare and makeup product which one can add them to masks, moisturisers, primer and foundations.

In the store, I was tasked to fill in a Skin Identity Questionaire ( Skin Inc’s proprietary self-diagnostic tool developed by Skin Inc scientists based on decades of skin aging research ) about my skin problems and concerns. Thereafter, I was given 2 x 5ml sizes of the Skin Inc Serum in Chlorella and Vitamin A and told to mix both together ( 3 drops from each bottle ) to be used. 

Word of mouth is really powerful, especially when it comes from those who are close to you and I am definitely glad to have revisited Skin Inc this time.

Review : A'Pieu Real Big Yoghurt One Bottle Smoothing Sheet Mask ( Apple )

This is the last flavour in my A'Pieu Real Big Yoghurt One Bottle Sheet Mask stash. Comparing the plain flavour, strawberry flavour and apple flavour, I like the plain flavour the best, for its scent and effectiveness. 

Paraben-free and sulphate-free, A'Pieu Real Big Yoghurt One Bottle Sheet Mask ( Apple ) has a distinct artificially apple-scented fragrance although the fragrance becomes subtle after a while. Made of a thin and transparent L-Cell sheet mask material that boasts of excellent adherence and high moisture content, this Apple Sheet Mask helps to promote smoother skin from natural AHA ( chemical exfoliant ). AHA sloughs off dead skin cells and encourages faster cell turnover, resulting in healthy new skin. 

While the mask is totally soaked in essence while being pulled out of its packaging, there is no dripping messiness during layering, unlike some masks which kept dripping all the way to your neck. The cutting of the mask is more suited for smaller faces due to a shorter nose flap and slightly larger eye area and not being able to pull back all the way to the hairline and edges of my face. 

After a 25 minute treatment, I observed minimal dead cells on the surface of the skin, on my nose, where blackheads and whiteheads are aplenty. I use a cotton bud to gently rub it off. My skin looked slightly clearer and fresher too. 

Unfortunately, if you check the ingredient list, the concentration of their touted beneficial ingredients are pretty low in concentration, as they are mostly found at the bottom of the list. The only exception are Glycerine, a moisturiser, Betaine, a moisturiser and Hydroxyacetophenone, an antioxidant which are found in the middle of the list aka higher concentration. 

Glycerin : A humectant which works to moisturise the skin by drawing water from the air into the skin's outer layer. Forms a protective layer that helps to prevent moisture loss. 
Betaine : Helps skin to retain moisture due to its molecular structure. Reduce wrinkles on skin. Ability to smooth and soften the skin, reducing sensitivity to external irritants. 
Yoghurt : Lactic acid found in its composition accelerates the skin renewal processes and helps improve the moisture balance in skin, retaining softness, suppleness and a radiant and youthful looking appearance. 
Lactobacillius : strengthens the skin by aiding cell regeneration
Sodium Hyaluronate : sodium salt of Hyaluronic Acid, which is a humectant ( moisture-binding ingredient ) that keeps skin plump and hydrated.

Review : A'Pieu Real Big Yoghurt One Bottle Moisturizing Sheet Mask ( Plain )

Deeply hydrating sheet mask enriched with yogurt extract and Lactobacillus. These 2 components help to strengthen your skin barrier by aiding cell regeneration which result in firm, healthy skin. With excellent adherence, the highly translucent L-cell sheet sticks perfectly on uneven areas without missing a spot, distributing the product to every nook and cranny of the face. The mask delivers active ingredients deep into the skin.

Paraben-free and sulphate-free, this plain flavour from A'Pieu Real Big Yoghurt One Bottle Sheet Mask smells like Vitagen and Yakult with a slight whiff of medical scent. It soon dissipates once layered on skin. The sensation is very cooling and comfortable, which would be great in summer weather.

In terms of the cutting, its is more suited for smaller faces as the sheet mask cannot be stretched till the edges of my hairline. There is a slight gap at the undereye area and the nose area is alittle short too. However, the material which is made of L-Cell ( a blend of cupra, tencel and cellulose ) is transparent and adheres very well, without much shifting.

A'Pieu Real Big Yoghurt One Bottle Sheet Mask ( Plain ) is totally soaked in essence, hence do beware when you are tearing the packaging as you will be splashed with parts of the essence, found in the interior of the packaging. However, there is no dripping mess once layered on the skin.

In terms of ingredients, most of the touted ingredients are found in the bottom of the list, which meant the concentration is pretty low. Hydrixyacetophenone, an antioxidant, Glycerin and Betaine are higher up in the list, with a higher concentration.

Sodium Hyaluronate : sodium salt of Hyaluronic Acid, which is a humectant ( moisture-binding ingredient ) that keeps skin plump and hydrated. 

Immediately after a 25 minute treatment session, my skin looked less tired and brimming with moisture. A great affordable mask for daily maintenance worth considering. I would prefer this over the strawberry flavour.

Paraben-free and sulphate-free, these A'pieu Real Big Yoghurt One Bottle Sheet Masks simply look too cute for words. Like what the name implies, it resembles a large yoghurt bottle, which reminds me of the popular Yakult bottles, a hit for both children and adults alike.

Full of essence, it actually spurts outs when I cut open the packaging. A'pieu Real Big Yoghurt One Bottle Sheet Mask ( Strawberry ) has a strong sweet scent of strawberry milk that still lingers even when its layered on my face.

Made of an unique L-cell sheet material which is a blend of cupra, tencel and cellulose, the sheet material is soft, thin and very wet. It can hold tons of moisture and provide great adherence for an extremely comfortable fit. Containing real yoghurt and strawberry extracts, it is said to strengthen skin and gives life to tired and dull skin.

Unfortunately, the cutting is more for smaller faces. The sheet mask does not stretch all the way to my hairline and there is a gap between my nose wings and the cheeks.

In terms of ingredients, most of the touted beneficial ingredients are found way at the bottom of the list with a lower concentration. However, others not mentioned such as Hydroxyacetophenone, an antioxidant, Glyercin and Betaine, moisturisers are higher in concentrations as they are found higher in the ingredient list.

Sodium Hyaluronate : sodium salt of Hyaluronic Acid, which is a humectant ( moisture-binding ingredient ) that keeps skin plump and hydrated. 

After a 25 minute mask treatment, the redness on my skin has also subsided considerably, however the hydration ability is pretty moderate on my combination skin with surface dehydration skin type.
I presume it might work better for those with normal or oily skin.

And because of the affordability of the mask, A'pieu Real Big Yoghurt One Bottle Sheet Mask ( Strawberry ) would be great for those who mask everyday, without feeling the pinch in the pocket.
