[ Review ] The Odbo Sunblock Pact

My aunt gifted two Sunblock Pacts to me after she returned from her trip to Korea. It has been more than five years since I last used The Odbo products, so I was curious to see how this sunscreen pact would perform.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

The Odbo Sunblock Pact comes in a sleek, compact case designed for convenient application and touch-ups throughout the day. Its portable format includes a built-in mirror and thin cushion-like puff, making it easy to reapply sunscreen without the mess associated with traditional liquid sunscreens. The compact design also makes it particularly convenient to carry in a handbag or pouch.

The Odbo Collagen Hydra-Mask contains high concentrations of collagen to deeply penetrate skin to keep loose and saggy skin firm and richly nourishing beauty essence to shine and revitalize the skin.  A single application leaves the skin moisturized and crystal-clear.

I was gifted with these sheet masks from my mum, who visited Korea before the pandemic. As with all planned trips, the tour guide would always bring the tourists to The Face Shop for them to purchase sheet masks.

There seems to be two variants of the sheet masks online - mine is The Odbo Collagen Hydra-Mask and the other variant is Odbo Collagen Hydra-Mask ( without The on the packaging ). I did not manage to find any details on the differences of the naming and also cannot tell if the ingredients are different as no ingredients were stated on mine.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Made in Korea, The Odbo Collagen Hydra-Mask has a semi-thick sturdy material with a strong fragrance that lingered for awhile before it eventually dissipated. There was a whiff of alcohol and perhaps because of the inclusion of this, the sheet mask felt cooling on the skin.

The mask adhered and fitted well except for slight gaps on both sides of the nose as though the cutting was meant for someone with a sharper nose.

Performance and Ingredients 

The recommended time frame is 20 - 30 minutes and I layered The Odbo Collagen Hydra-Mask for 25 minutes before removing it. By then, most of the essence had absorbed into skin. There was a subtle tightening/firming sensation during application and once removed, my skin felt softer and smoother.

The Odbo Collagen Hydra-Mask contains skin-friendly ingredients like Sodium Hyaluronate, Castor Oil and Hydrolyzed Collagen for abundant moisture and skin elasticity.

Sodium Hyaluronate : Helps to restore the skin's moisture, promoting a more revitalized and youthful complexion. Also smoothens the appearance of wrinkles and improves the skin's texture.

Castor Oil : Fights aging, heals inflamed skin and provides moisture to skin.

Hydrolyzed Collagen : Restores elasticity to skin.

Conclusion

To conclude, The Odbo Collagen Hydra-Mask is a decent sheet mask but not WOW enough for me to repurchase. While it made my skin softer and smoother but these effects are also easily achievable by the other sheet masks.

Review : Odbo Ginseng Mask

Product Description
This strengthening mask pack contains Ginseng, Collagen and Coenzyme Q10 which helps to firm up and improves the elasticity of the skin texture. With Ginseng being a famous product in Korea, this mask is full of Ginseng essence to improve dull and loose skin.

I was gifted with a sheet of this ginseng mask from a colleague who visited Korea. The heavy-scented Ginseng scent is apparent during the masking session but its nothing offensive.

The sheet is thin but comfortable, with small cut-outs for the eyes, nose and lips. The nose cut-out is so small that it probably fits those with cute button noses.
Even though the mask is soaked with essence, there is no dripping mess and adheres well on my skin, without any messiness.

I use it on freshly exfoliated skin and this mask left my skin feeling hydrated, smoother and softer.

Ingredients:
Imidazolidinyl urea, Methylparaben, Sodium citrate,
Panax ginseng root extract: 6mg, Collagen: 0.6mg, Coenzyme-Q10: 0.9mg

Review : Odbo Vitamin C Essential Brightening Mask

Product Description
Vitamin C is a great solution in skin care. Vitamin C is an excellent water soluble antioxidant that destroys free radicals preventing pre-mature aging as well as having other important roles in various bodily functions such as the formation of bones, assists in the formation of collagen and repairing scar tissues among others. As such, Vitamin C is a very important ingredient to skin's benefits. It’s a mask that specially formulated for skin brightening and soothing.

Odbo, hailing from Korea, is a brand that is not very familiar to me, though I have vaguely heard of it. I received a sheet from a colleague who just came back from Korea recently.

The texture of the sheet is soft and smooth to the touch and provides a comfortable feeling on the face, once layered. It is soaked in essence and has a nice scent to it.

The cutting of the sheet mask fits my face shape well and adheres snugly. It brightens up my face slightly, hydrates it and gives it a lovely dewy glow. It works best on freshly exfoliated skin.
