I won Skin1004 Probio-Cica Bakuchiol Eye Cream and Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Silky-Fit Sun Stick in a Stylekorean giveaway sometime back, with an obligation to review.
The skin around our eyes is thinner, more delicate, and prone to dryness compared to the rest of the face. It’s also where fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles tend to show up first. A good eye cream helps hydrate, brighten, and protect this fragile area, keeping it smooth and refreshed.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Skin1004 Probio-Cica Bakuchiol Eye Cream is a 20ml product, contained in a tube, with a silicone applicator that helps to massage the eye area. It has a subtle sweet scent with a white creamy texture.
How To Use :
Before your moisturizer, apply an appropriate amount to areas of concern such as the eyes and mouth, and gentle massage with the applicator to absorb it.
Performance and Ingredients
Skin1004 Probio-Cica Bakuchiol Eye Cream contains a harmonious blend of Bakuchiol, Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide to target dark circles, fine lines and wrinkles. The product has been clinically proven to reduce fine lines and wrinkles in 2 weeks, in a study with 20 adult participants.
This eye cream has a rich, emollient texture that spreads easily, absorbs quickly, and provides deep moisturization—a great pick for those needing extra hydration. However, I noticed a subtle sting when applied too close to my eyes, and the hard applicator dragged on my skin, making application less than ideal.
On top of that, I developed two milia seeds on my right undereye and eyelid, though they thankfully disappeared after a few weeks. It also left some crusts on my left undereye area hence I switched to a hydrating eye cream to combat the crusts. As for visible results? I didn’t notice much difference, even after finishing the product.
The key ingredients are...
Probio-Cica : Madagascar Centella, fermented with plant-derived lactic acid bacteria is added with TECA (titrated extract of Centella Asisatica) to maximize its skin soothing property
Cica-Ceramides : Cica (Centella), soothing ingredient is formulated with Cermaides, similar to skin barrier structure to enhance absorption and to repair damaged skin barriers
Bakuchiol : A highly active ingredient extracted from Psoralea Corylifolia Seeds that exhibits effects similar to retinol with less irritation, making it more suitable for daily anti-aging care without side effects from retinol use.
Carrot Collagen : Carrot is rich in amino acids and its low molecular collagen (500-800 dalton) promotes collagen production in skin
Hyaluronic Acid : Low molecular Hyaluronic Acid is used for quicker and deeper absorption to provide moisture retention in skin
Centella Asiatica Extract, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Dipentaerythrityl Hexa C5-9 Acid Esters, 1,2-Hexanediol, Niacinamide, Squalane, Water, Polyglyceryl-3 Distearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Betaine, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Heptyl Undecylenate, Lactobacillus/Centella Asiatica Extract Ferment Filtrate, Glyceryl Stearate, Bakuchiol, Panthenol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Palmitic Acid, Tromethamine, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Carbomer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Adenosine, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Sodium Phytate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Ceramide NP, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Dextrin, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate, Phytosphingosine, Madecassic Acid, Asiaticoside, Hydrolyzed Extensin, Sucrose Distearate, Asiatic Acid, Lauric Acid, Phytosterols, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8
Conclusion
To conclude, Skin1004 Probio-Cica Bakuchiol Eye Cream has a rich, nourishing texture that spreads easily, absorbs quickly, and delivers deep hydration. However, I did experience a slight sting when applied too close to the eyes, and the hard applicator felt rough, dragging the skin during use.
Unfortunately, after finishing the entire product, I didn’t notice any significant results although it provides good moisture.
