In this post, I will be sharing my thoughts on their hydrating skincare range.
Stress, hormones, diets, and climates can cause our skin to be dehydrated, which leads to sensitivity and other problems. For this reason, Axis-y set out to create new products that can hydrate and moisturize our skin according to our unique needs.
Hydrating skincare is the core of my skincare routine due to my skin type - combination skin with surface dehydration. Skin that is not hydrated enough will become dry, tight and flaky where lines, uneven skin, wrinkles, dark spots and texture are prone to look deeper and more pronounced.
Our skin is made up of three layers : the outer layer (epidermis), the underlying skin (dermis), and the subcutaneous tissue. When the outermost layer of your skin does not contain enough moisture, the skin will lose its elasticity and feel rough.
Dehydrated skin appears weak, dull, and uneven and, when combined with signs of ageing, it can make everything look worse, so make sure to keep your skin hydration levels up as a hydrated complexion will look plumped, healthy and youthful looking and feel soft and smooth.
This is due to the fact that the outermost layer of the skin has the moisture it needs to flush away toxins and carry nutrients to the skin’s cells. Having an adequately hydrated face will help to improve skin elasticity which will reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
With my past positive experiences on Axis-y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum and Axis-y Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream, I am definitely excited to embark on this hydrating skincare journey with Axis-y Aqua Boosting Essence Toner, Axis-y Advanced Aqua Boosting Ampoule and Axis-y Heartleaf My-Type Calming Cream.

Axis-y Aqua Boosting Essence Toner is a moisture-boosting daily toner containing 10-Hyaluronic Acid and six premium natural ingredients. This combination of ingredients hydrate and lock in moisture to reach 10 layers deep into the skin. Calms and soothes the skin while leaving it fully refreshed, hydrated and glowing. It also contains panthenol that provides hydration and anti-inflammatory properties, Madecassoside that increases the skin's natural HA production.
How To Use :
1) After cleansing, use a cotton pad or your hands to gently spread the liquid over the face.
2) Pat in the excess product until fully absorbed.
3) Follow up with the remaining steps of your skincare routine.
Axis-y Aqua Boosting Essence Toner is housed in a 150ml plastic bottle with a small hole in the center to dispense the toner although I would prefer the hole to be slightly larger for an easier flow of the contents.
Clear in colour, there isn't much of a scent and the texture is like an essence with a subtle viscous consistency. Its neither watery nor runny.
Because of its viscous consistency, it does take slightly more time to absorb into the skin with a hint of tackiness that goes away after a short while. If you pour it on cotton pads and swipe/tap it over the face, the absorption is much faster ( perfect to provide a gentle exfoliation and remove the excess of impurities at the same time ) than using hands so if I am pressed for time, I will use cotton pads and if I have more time, I will apply the toner using hands.
Axis-y Aqua Boosting Essence Toner is calming and refreshing, best suited for my skin condition in humid weather like Singapore. My skin is always left feeling soft, smooth and hydrated while prepped for the next product in my routine.

How To Use :
1) Apply directly onto skin after cleansing and toning.
2) Gently pat across the face until completely absorbed.
Axis-y Advanced Aqua Boosting Ampoule comes in a 30ml glass dropper bottle with a clear lightweight texture that has a viscous consistency which is slightly more than the Aqua Boosting Essence Toner. It has no scent.
There was an immediate cooling and calming sensation during application but left a tacky and sticky feeling in its place. My fingers are so sticky when I touched my face. I only use 2 drops for my face so I was surprised with its stickiness on the skin. It took awhile before the ampoule absorbed into skin, making it plumped and hydrated.
If stickiness is a concern, a tip is to try to lower the amount used.

Without any tackiness or greasiness, the Heartleaf My-Type Calming Cream is a winner in my heart with its light natural dewy finishing. Conclusion
To conclude, Axis-y Aqua Boosting Essence Toner, Axis-y Advanced Aqua Boosting Ampoule and Axis-y Heartleaf My-Type Calming Cream worked great for my skin.
Axis-y Aqua Boosting Essence Toner was calming and refreshing, leaving my skin soft, smooth and hydrated each time.
Axis-y Advanced Aqua Boosting Ampoule made my skin plumped and hydrated but I didn't fancy the tackiness left behind. For someone who likes to slather on my products generously, I need to tweak the quantity to minimize that annoying stickiness.
Axis-y Heartleaf My-Type Calming Cream was a favourite of mine for hydrated, plumped and healthy-looking skin. I always enjoyed using this as the last step in my skincare routine to seal in all the goodness. It is also one of my Top 22 Empties I Loved in 2022!
Using the trio gave one soft, smooth, plumped and hydrated skin which is suitable for all skin types.
