Beyul Sunscreen SPF 50 PA+++ Review

Product Description
Beyul Sunscreen SPF 50 PA+++ contains highly moisturizing polyglutamic acid that helps to keep skin moist by forming a moisture layer on dry skin. Also helps to protect sensitive skin from harmful UV rays. Feels light on skin without any whitish, sticky or oily residue.

Staying in Singapore meant going through plenty of sunscreens since using sunscreen is the number 1 anti-aging tip. My latest sunscreen purchase is Beyul Sunscreen SPF 50 PA+++ which is just to chalk up enough points for free shipping.

The brand, BE International is from Malaysia, however, this sunscreen is made in Korea so I had good vibes about it.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Beyul Sunscreen SPF 50 PA+++ Texture

Beyul Sunscreen SPF 50 PA+++ is housed in a bright 50g orange tube with a distinct sunscreen scent. White in colour, the lotion-like texture has a hint of cooling sensation during application.

How to use :
After applying moisturiser, apply an appropriate amount of BEYUL Sunscreen SPF 50++ to protect skin against harmful UV rays

Performance and Ingredients

Beyul Sunscreen SPF 50 PA+++ protects skin against free radicals as well as against water loss by leaving the skin plump and moisturized.

The lotion-like texture applies well with a velvety finishing but left an immediate greasy sheen on face which I dislike. However, I got used to it after a while and it didn't really bother me thereafter.

It is neither drying nor sticky and since it isn't a physical sunscreen, it doesn't have any white cast.

I use it mainly during exercise in the evenings or adding it under my makeup if I am heading out. RMS Beauty "Un" Powder helps to minimize the shiny sheen slightly so its not totally gone.

However, given a choice, I would still prefer a sunscreen without such a greasy and shiny sheen on my combination skin.

At SPF50 PA+++, this sunscreen helps to protect against UVA and UVB rays where an SPF 50 product protects you from 98% of the UVB “burning” rays that penetrate your skin and PA+++ offers high UVA protection..

The letters “PA” followed by plus signs on a label are a rating system developed in Japan to represent how much UVA protection the product offers.

This is what each PA rating means:
PA+ = Some UVA protection.
PA++ = Moderate UVA protection.
PA+++ = High UVA protection.
PA++++ = Extremely High UVA protection.

Beyul Sunscreen SPF 50 PA+++ contains the following key ingredients...

Polyglutamic Acid (y-PGA) : High Moisturizing Effect (100 times if HA); strengthens fragile skin barriers by absorbing beneficial minerals and moisture. Helps prevent skin damage and improv skin impure irritants.

EGF (Epidermis Grown Factor/SH-Oligopeptide-1) : It is natural skin friendly ingredient that improves the growth factor of skin cells by normalizing its turnover cycle to restore damaged skin barriers quickly for firmer and revitalized skin.

Adenosine & Niacinamide : Adenosine has great anti-ageing properties that reduce wrinkles and energize overall skin’s elasticity while niacinamide improves overall skin complexion.

Conclusion

To conclude, Beyul Sunscreen SPF 50 PA+++ has a hint of cooling sensation during application and left a shiny and greasy sheen on face which I dislike although I was used to it after awhile.

It has a distinct sunscreen scent and the lotion-like texture is neither drying nor sticky. The ingredients are promising but the greasy sheen just doesn't fit well with my combination skin so it won't be a repurchase.
