XOUL Calming Cell Toner, Layered Cream Review

Xoul reached out to me for a collaboration some time back and I was excited to learn that they are a skincare brand specialized in anti-aging using a stem cell cultured fluid. I just love innovative skincare solutions!

Hailing from Korea, XOUL established themselves as a cost-effective K-beauty brand with an innovative skincare collection formulated with adipose-derived stem cell cultured fluid and various natural ingredients for anti-aging, wrinkle-reduction and skin rejuvenating capabilities.

XOUL directly source stem cell cultured fluid and world-renowned anti-aging ingredients to create a unique formula in products which are mild but strong and proven with clinical trials.

The main ingredient adipose-derived stem cell cultured fluid contains various growth factors ( EGF, FGF, VEGF-A, KGF, IGF, TGF, HGF, PDGF ) specialized for regeneration.

These stem cells help repair and regenerate damaged and aging skin. Their quality and environment management systems meet global standards and they possess ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification.

XOUL Calming Cell Toner From Korea

This was love at first sight and first use. Housed in an aesthetic-pleasing bottle with rose-gold hues, XOUL Calming Cell Toner has a cloudy, milky moisturising texture with a subtle scent that my skin loves. It is runny and glides on easily effortlessly.

Containing only EWG green ingredients, the 130ml sized toner depleted pretty fast under my use, as a toner and DIY toner mask with their cotton pads.

XOUL half drop pad appearance

You can use hands or cotton pads for the toner but the recommended usage is using XOUL half drop pad which I totally concur.

XOUL half drop pad usage

When my skin is parched, I love using it as a DIY toner mask with XOUL half drop pads as they are thin and work great to deeply moisturize the skin.

With its calming and soothing properties, my skin is always left plumped, moisturized and nourished without any greasiness or stickiness after every application. My face just looked radiant and glowing with invisible pores. So much love for XOUL Calming Cell Toner! It is also one of my Top 22 Empties I Loved in 2022!

XOUL Layered Cream appearance

Similar to its Calming Cell Toner, XOUL Layered Cream has the same luxurious aesthetic vibe but strangely, there was no English description on its packaging unlike the cell toner.

XOUL Layered Cream Consistency

It comes in a 50ml airless pump jar which uses a vacuum dispensing system to ensure no fear of double dipping and contamination and to maintain integrity of ingredients whilst being able to utilize right to the last drop. The only downside is, I can't tell when the product is depleting until I can't pump it out anymore.

XOUL Layered Cream Texture

The cream has a refreshing freesia scent with a lightweight creamy texture. Using it on my combination skin type in humid weather like Singapore, the cream comes across as rather rich initially. My skin turned oily and shiny within 2 hours. A new red spot appeared on my chin and nose which is usually a sign of a new zit coming up. Fortunately, with my reliable IDS Pore Formula, I manage to suppress it which disappeared thereafter.

I didn't like it as much when I first started using it, because of how it made my skin feel - oily and shiny. However, I persisted and after 3 weeks of regular usage, the oil-water on my skin seemed more balanced and was no longer that oily or shiny.

My skin was softer, smoother, hydrated and healthier-looking.

Conclusion

To conclude, XOUL Calming Cell Toner and XOUL Layered Cream worked great for me and I am happy to have discovered the brand through collaborations.

The calming cell toner is an absolute gem which I adored for its calming and soothing properties that left my skin plumped, moisturized, nourished, radiant and glowing!

The layered cream took awhile for me to warm up as it wasn't love at first use, unlike the toner. However, with regular use, I appreciate how the product hydrates my skin to balance the oil-water ratio, leaving it soft, smooth and healthier-looking.
