Review : Skin Food Omija Whitening Mask Sheet

Review for Skin Food Omija Whitening Mask Sheet

Product Description
A set of 2 separate mask sheets that contain a patent-awarded oriental herbal extract and skin-lightening ingredients. This mask can enhance brightening effect by delivering Omija extracts deep into skin for a brighter complexion. Its made of a medicinal herb complex of Omija, White Mulberry Bark and Licorice Root.

A kind friend bought 2 sheets for me during her business trip in Korea last year and indeed I am thankful for that because its way much cheaper and I do not forsee myself visiting Korea for the time being, with my last visit in 2009.

Its quite a mess using this mask though I do quite like the brightening effect it gave me at the end of each treatment. The material and texture of the sheet mask are good, thick and not easily torn. Its over-soaked with milky white essence that it tends to drip when I pulled it out of the packaging. The cutting of the mask is ridiculous, the cut-outs are so small that I wondered who would have such small eyes and mouth.

And because the cut-outs are so small and the mask is so wet, I get the whitening essence over my brows and my eyelashes when I layered on the face. Perhaps it may be better if I laid on bed while doing the mask treatment but usually I don't because I like to multi-task.

And as the cut-out area at the lips are so small, I tasted all the yucky whitening essence. Its gross, literally. I had enough and went ahead to cut a bigger area for my eyes and lips. And since its so wet, it tends to slip after some time too. Once the mask is removed, my face is filled with whitening essence all over and I just need to cleanse it off.

In summary, I found it to be quite a messy affair in using this mask but I am happy at the brightening and glowing effect it gave me plus softer skin thereafter.

Hi Tiffany,
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. It matters so much to me, and really lighten up my day and over the long weekend. My name, Agnes is actually located in the center of the right panel but probably its just too small to be noticeable as you are not the only one to ask me about my name. lol
Hope to see you around. Thanks once again.

Thanks for your review! I also thought this mask was a messy affair. It felt to me like a mask soaked in lotion. Have you tried HadaLabo's Shirojyun Arbutin Whitening Mask? This mask gives quite a good brightening effect as well without the messiness. I've written reviews on both products on my blog :D
