Product Description
Allies of Skin PSA Light Up Vitamin C & E Flash Brightening Mask is a brightening face mask that works to reduce dullness, replenish moisture, and leave you with all-around radiant skin.
This is my only PSA product while I have emptied Allies of Skin Multi Hyaluronic Antioxidant Hydration Serum, Allies of Skin Peptides & Omegas Firming Eye Cream, Allies of Skin Retinal & Peptides Repair Night Cream and Allies of Skin Peptides & Antioxidant Firming Daily Treatment previously.
PSA which stands for Purposeful Skincare by Allies is the sister brand of Allies of Skin, one of the better-known local skincare brand from Singapore. This brightening mask is made in USA.
I have been appreciating rinse-off masks of late, and added Allies of Skin PSA Light Up Vitamin C & E Flash Brightening Mask into my cart. I wouldn't mind some brightening benefits on my skin so this brightening mask speaks to me.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Allies of Skin PSA Light Up Vitamin C & E Flash Brightening Mask is a 50ml product, housed in an orange tube with a spritz dispenser. The orange gel formula is thick but easy to spread for use as a mask with an oily finishing. It has a subtle metallic orange scent and a warming sensation upon application.
The dispenser was pretty bad though, just like the rest of the Allies of Skin products that I owned. It doesn't pump out the product every now and then, so I have to twist open the cap and just squeeze out the mask from the tube.
How To Use :
1) Use daily morning and evening.
2) After cleansing, apply to clean skin with damp fingers and massage to activate.
3) Hang out for at least 5 minutes, rinse off, and follow with your usual regimen.
4) Always use SPF as the final step in your morning routine.
Performance and Ingredients
Packed with skin-loving ingredients such as hydrating Hyaluronic Acid, collagen supporting Vitamin E (2%), antioxidant L-Ascorbic Acid (11%), and antimicrobial Grapeseed Oil. Allies of Skin PSA Light Up Vitamin C & E Flash Brightening Mask even your skin tone, tackle blemish marks, reduce dullness, promote radiance, replenish moisture and give your skin the ultimate glow up.
My initial uses weren't pleasant as it stung briefly ( effect more pronounced on dry patches ) so I thought 11% L-Ascorbic Acid may be too high for my sensitive skin. However, I persisted in using it and thankfully the stinging effect stopped after the 4th time.
Using it on damp skin makes the contents pretty diluted while using on dry skin, the mask disappeared into the skin after 5 minutes of massaging. I prefer to use it in the shower as its less of a hassle as you required plenty of water to rinse off the gel mask with an oily finishing.
The PAO is 6 months so be consistent with using it. I wasn't using it as regularly as I should or as much as I should or as long as I should, due to the 11% L-Ascorbic Acid and the initial sting hence it may have affected the performance.
While it left my skin nice and smooth but there wasn't any noticeable brightening effects even after emptying the product which was a disappointment.
The key ingredients are....
11% L-Ascorbic Acid : A newer, more stable form of Vitamin C. Fades imperfections, boosts collagen production, and provides excellent photoprotection underneath sunscreen.
2% Vitamin E : A group of powerful fat-soluble antioxidants that includes forms Tocopheryl Acetate and Tocopherol. Helps fight off free radicals, protecting skin from damage caused by environmental aggressors. It can also help strengthen the skin barrier function and make it less susceptible to irritation.
Grapeseed Oil : A non-comedogenic oil packed with Linoleic Acid and Vitamin E. It has antioxidant and antimicrobial properties and can help skin retain moisture better and restore its natural elasticity.
Hyaluronic Acid : A heavyweight hydrator and humectant that is extremely good at bonding with water molecules, making it a critical factor in retaining skin moisture.
Glycerin, Ascorbic Acid, Helianthus Annuus Seed Wax, Polyglyceryl-10 Tristearate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Astaxanthin, Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer-3, Caprylyl Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Aqua (Water).

Conclusion
To conclude, Allies of Skin PSA Light Up Vitamin C & E Flash Brightening Mask is a thick oil-based gel mask that left my skin nice and smooth but there wasn't a noticeable brightening effect which I was expecting.
Jumiso All Day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing Facial Serum and Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Charging Serum worked better for me.
