Allies of Skin Multi Hyaluronic Antioxidant Hydration Serum Review
Product Description
Allies of Skin Multi Hyaluronic Antioxidant Hydration Serum is a skin-restoring serum that is supercharged with multiple forms of Hyaluronic Acid (Low Molecular Weight, High Molecular Weight, and Botanical Polysaccharide), 5% Resveratrol Ferment Complex, 2% Superoxide Dismutase, and 8 Antioxidants & Peptides to intensely hydrate, plump and repair dehydrated skin.

Benefits :
• Provides a mega dose of hydration.
• Soothes skin and reduces signs of fatigue.
• Trains skin to retain moisture better while strengthening the skin barrier.

Over time :
• Reduces the appearance of fine lines by plumping the skin.
• Repairs dehydrated skin.
• Promotes rejuvenation and improves skin elasticity.
• Helps to protect the moisturising capacity of the skin.

I purchased Allies of Skin Multi Hyaluronic Antioxidant Hydration Serum with Allies of Skin Peptides & Omegas Firming Eye Cream during the BOGO sale, which is usually in the November period. I had a good experience with Allies of Skin Retinal & Peptides Repair Night Cream but not Allies of Skin Peptides & Antioxidant Firming Daily Treatment and is on the fence with this serum.

Hydration is key to healthy skin, as skin that lacks proper hydration can appear dull, dry, and rough. A hydrating product can help to improve the moisture content of the skin, resulting in a smoother, more plump, and supple complexion.

Adding on, when the skin is adequately hydrated, the barrier function is strengthened, helping to keep irritants out and moisture in.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Allies of Skin Multi Hyaluronic Antioxidant Hydration Serum Texture

Allies of Skin Multi Hyaluronic Antioxidant Hydration Serum is a 30ml product with a twist-and-lock cap in a sleek bottle. It has a soothing scent of rose and geranium which I adored and the light yellow texture is lightweight lotion-like.

That said, the spritz dispenser didn't work as well nearing the end of contents, as it wasn't able to pick up the contents.

How To Use :
1) Always apply this product as the final serum step.
2) After cleansing and misting or toning, apply 3 pumps all over your face, eye area, and neck.
3) Follow up with your favourite moisturiser or face oil.

Tips : This product is best applied to very damp skin. Shake well before every use.

Performance and Ingredients

Allies of Skin Multi Hyaluronic Antioxidant Hydration Serum

Multiple forms of Hyaluronic Acid (Low Molecular Weight, High Molecular Weight, and Botanical Polysaccharide) are used to infuse the skin with concentrated moisture and plump up the appearance of fine lines. Besides hydrating, this formula trains the skin to retain moisture better while strengthening the skin barrier with Niacinamide and Phospholipids.

An optimal concentration of powerful antioxidants, 5% Resveratrol Ferment and 2% Superoxide Dismutase offers a dramatic reduction in signs of fatigue, reduces free radical damage, promotes firming, and supports a healthy barrier function.

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38 promotes rejuvenation and improves skin elasticity. At the same time, Strawberry Fruit Extract prevents anti-hyaluronidase activity (a process where enzymes in the skin break down natural Hyaluronic Acid), thus helping to protect the moisturising capacity of the skin.

This serum goes beyond simply moisturising the skin — it infuses it with concentrated moisture and prevents the breakdown of natural Hyaluronic Acid. Over time, skin is trained to retain moisture better all day long.

Cruelty-free and formulated without Silicones, Sulfates, Denatured Alcohol, Synthetic Dyes & Fragrances, Allies of Skin Multi Hyaluronic Antioxidant Hydration Serum was a product which I thought would be fuss-free and simple to use since Hyaluronic Acid usually works pretty well for me but sadly it wasn't the case.

When I first started using this serum, I had 2 zits within a week but thank goodness, they subsided after several days and I didn't have any issue thereafter.

I use it to maintain hydration on skin on optimal skin days but I wouldn't reach out for it on dehydrated skin days, as it just didn't provide sufficient hydration on my combination with dehydrated surface skin type. There was a subtle taut sensation ( and yes, I used it on damp skin ) which I am not a fan of.

Adding on, my skin just looked shiny, waxy and taut.

Sorely disappointed with the hydration aspect, considering the price of the product.

The key ingredients are....

Hyaluronic Acid (Low & High Molecular Weight) :  A heavyweight hydrator and humectant that is extremely good at bonding with water molecules, making it a critical factor in retaining skin moisture.

5% Resveratrol Ferment Complex : A polyphenol with antimicrobial and soothing properties that protects the skin and reduces signs of premature ageing, supports collagen production.

2% Superoxide Dismutase : A potent antioxidant, naturally produced in our cells, fights against formation of free radicals, evens out complexion, and combats signs of premature ageing and dullness.

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38 : A Peptide that regulates cell activity, wound repair, and collagen tissue remodelling.

8 Antioxidants. Superoxide Dismutase, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tocopherol, Ascorbic Acid, Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract, Niacinamide, Epigallocatechin Gallate, Pichia/Resveratrol Ferment Extract, Licorice Root Extract

Conclusion

To conclude, Allies of Skin Multi Hyaluronic Antioxidant Hydration Serum didn't quite work out for me, leaving me with shiny, waxy and taut skin, and less than desirable hydration.
