Be The Skin Sebum Zero Aloerice Sun Cream Review

Product Description
Be The Skin Sebum Zero Aloerice Sun Cream is a vegan sunscreen formulated with Aloerice complex, aloe vera to relieve irritated skin and increase skin's elasticity.

I am thankful to try out this new brand thanks to the collaboration from Stylekorean. Prior to this collaboration, I have hardly heard of the brand. Launched globally in 2014, Be The Skin aims to be the most skin-friendly brand by comparing the human skin environment to natural conditions.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Be The Skin Sebum Zero Aloerice Sun Cream Texture

Be The Skin Sebum Zero Aloerice Sun Cream is a 50ml tube of sunscreen with a beautiful light green essence-like texture that applies effortlessly. It has a subtle herbal fragrance and a cooling sensation during application.

How To Use :
1) As the last step in your morning skincare routine, apply an appropriate amount of product evenly over the entire face (two fingers of product).
2) Gently massage into skin until product is absorbed.
3) Reapply product throughout the day.

Performance and Ingredients

Be The Skin Sebum Zero Aloerice Vegan Sun Cream is a lightweight triple duty chemical sunscreen with an essence-like consistency that allows sunscreen to be easily absorbed by the skin.

It is lightweight creamy ( less so than Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun : Rice + Probiotics or make p:rem - UV Defense Me. Daily Sun Essence ), moisturising and non-sticky. There is no white cast and the essence-like consistency glides on skin easily but has a greasy sheen on my face which tones down after awhile. I emptied this pretty quickly as it was so easy to use. That said, it stung occasionally.

Be The Skin Sebum Zero Aloerice Vegan Sun Cream has an SPF of 50 PA++++ and helps to protect against UVA and UVB rays. SPF 50 sunscreens protect you from 98 percent of UVB "burning" rays that penetrate your skin, while PA++++ sunscreens provide extremely high UVA protection.

The 4 UV filters are....

Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate : A new generation, chemical sunscreen agent with high UVA protection and high photostability. Also known as Uvinul A Plus.

Ethylhexyl Triazone : A new generation, chemical sunscreen that gives the highest photo-stable absorption of all available UVB filters today. Also known as Octyl Triazone and Uvinul T 150.

Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol : Also known as Tinosorb M, this is a "hybrid" sunscreen meaning it's half-way between physical (the ones that, at least partly, reflect the sun) and chemical agents (that absorb the rays, which most sunscreens do).  It is a new generation UV filter and gives a nice broad-spectrum coverage (280-400 nm, meaning UVB as well as UVA protection) and is highly photostable. It can also help to stabilize other less stable sunscreens, like Octinoxate and work well with other UV-filters.

Diethylhexy Butamido Triazone : A chemical sunscreen agent that's very oil soluble and requires relatively low concentrations to achieve high SPF values. Particularly suitable for water-repellent and water-resistant formulations, it is super photostable where it loses 10% of its SPF protection abilities only in 25 hours when 2 hours counts already as "photostable" in the world of chemical sunscreens. Also known as Iscotrizinol.

The key ingredients are.....

Aloerice Complex : A synergy of ingredients such as nutritious rice bran extract and moisturizing aloe vera extract for smooth skin due to wrinkle, whitening and UV-blocking benefits.

Ceylon Cinnamon Bark Extract : Regulates sebum secretion and reduces skin inflammation.

Water Mint Extract : Stimulates cell renewal, improves skin tone, has a strong antioxidant effect, regulates skin fat and has an antimicrobial effect.

Glyceryl Glucoside : Increases skin elasticity, moisturizing and reduces dryness and stickiness

Conclusion

Be The Skin Aloerice Sun Cream Review

To conclude, Be The Skin Sebum Zero Aloerice Vegan Sun Cream is a decent sunscreen with a lightweight essence-like consistency that glides well on skin with a greasy sheen that tones down after a short while. I emptied this pretty quickly since it is so easy to spread for use but it won't be a repurchase due to the greasy sheen.
