I have been eyeing Colorscience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield Classic for awhile and finally purchased a bottle during a Black Friday sale on Amazon. Tinted products are my jam and some of my favourites were Naruko Tea Tree Anti-Acne Sunscreen SPF50 and VMV Hypoallergenics Skintangible "Faint''ation BBBB Cream where I would repurchase without any hesitation.
Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield Classic is fast becoming my favourite now and goes onto the ranks of Naruko Tea Tree Anti-Acne Sunscreen SPF50 and VMV Hypoallergenics Skintangible "Faint''ation BBBB Cream.
Unfortunately, this is one of the rare products that I cannot finish in time, as you only need a small amount for each use. According to the website, if applied once daily, it will last you for about 90 days.
If only they would come up with a smaller bottle at a cheaper price so that the likelihood of repurchasing is higher. For the record, I usually empty most of my skincare products. You can check out my empties post on Instagram.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield Classic comes in a 55ml opaque blue bottle with a small tip dispenser that makes it dispensing the perfect quantity for use. It has a subtle natural occurring scent that seems to stem from the ingredients. The runny lightweight texture makes it a breeze for application.
The tint blends in seamlessly into my skin for an even-toned dewy complexion.
How To Use :
Shake well before each use. Apply liberally and evenly to face, neck, and décolleté.
Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Works best on moisturized skin.
Reapply:
- After 40 minutes of swimming or sweating
- Immediately after towel drying.
- At least every 2 hours.
Tips : Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including:
Limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.
Wear long sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses.

Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Face Shield Classic SPF 50 is lightly tinted due to the coloring of iron oxides. It was formulated with proprietary EnviroScreen® Technology using patented zinc oxide which resulted in an universal shade, leaving no white cast for most skin tones
For the record, EnviroScreen® Technology is proprietary to Colorescience®. EnviroScreen® Technology uses patented active ingredients, Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide, that create a barrier preventing free radical formation and oxidative stress. These patented actives are combined with specialty ingredients that, together, work synergistically to protect skin from damage caused by exposure to UVA/UVB rays, pollution, blue light (also known as High Energy Visible, or HEV, light), and infrared radiation.
Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield Classic was love at first use. The coverage is sheer and natural-looking, with a lovely dewy finishing that makes my skin look healthy and dewy-glowing. I prefer to use this during the weekends when I need more glow than coverage.
100% free from parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrance, animal testing, talc, dyes, mineral oils, drying alcohols and chemical sunscreen, this is a Broad Spectrum (UVA/UVB) Sunscreen with SPF 50/PA++++. With EnviroScreen® Technology, it also provides protection from pollution exposure, blue (HEV) light and helps minimize damage caused by infrared radiation.
UVB exposure causes redness or burning, while UVA exposure causes skin darkening/pigmentation. Protection from both UVA and UVB means this product provides Broad Spectrum protection.
The PA rating system measures the level of protection from UVA rays, which are known to cause pigment darkening in the skin. It measures the amount of time a product would protect your skin from darkening.

To conclude, Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield Classic is fast becoming my favourite tinted mineral sunscreen. It has a sheer coverage with a healthy dewy natural finishing which I adore. Prefer to use during weekends, since I need more coverage during weekdays.
I would have repurchased many times, if not for the price.
