I received Rovectin Aqua Hyaluronic Essence as part of a Stylekorean collaboration, together with Rovectin Dark Spot Serum, Rovectin Water Cream and Rovectin UV Defense Tinted SPF 50+ PA++++.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Rovectin Aqua Hyaluronic Essence is a 180ml product housed in a clear tall plastic bottle with a screw-on cap. A water-gel type of lotion with a viscosity texture to optimise skin condition for the next step of moisturizing and nourishing, it has no noticeable scent.

Apply onto clean skin before daily skincare routine. Use morning and/or night.
Performance and Ingredients
100% free from paraben, artificial colorants, artificial fragrances, mineral oil, and steroids, Rovectin Aqua Hyaluronic Essence contains a hydrating Barrier Repair Complex™ that helps repair and restore skin’s natural moisture barrier. It includes 7 different types of hyaluronic acids with different particle sizes that penetrate the skin at the deepest layer to the top layer where it acts as the moisture barrier.
This product also contains antioxidant Niacinamide to visibly improve uneven skin tone, fine lines, and wrinkles. Ingredients like caffeine and papaya fruit extract naturally soothe the skin, while they de-puff and smooth out the texture of skin.
Hydration is an essential component in my daily skincare routine as I have combination skin with surface dehydration so I was glad to incorporate Rovectin Aqua Hyaluronic Essence in replace of my regular toner.
You can use the essence after toner, but I prefer a simple routine so I skipped the toner step and use this essence as a toner-essence product on damp skin. There was a subtle taut sensation during initial usage and the tackiness lingered on skin, hence I didn't reach out for this product as often as I thought I would.
Despite being Rovectin bestselling product, I didn't like Aqua Hyaluronic Essence that much. It doesn't pair well with buttery moisturisers such as 100% Pure Hydra Drench Cream and doesn't hydrate sufficiently with Rovectin Clean Lotus Water Cream.
And due to its tackiness, I didn't like layering this product to get deeper hydration. It worked better as a lotion mask ( with cotton pads ) to hydrate, plump skin and minimize flakiness.
The key ingredients are....
7 layer Hyaluronic Acid : A good formulation of hyaluronic acid has more than one form of the molecule. Rovectin Aqua Hyaluronic Essence contains 7 different types of HA with different sizes that will penetrate the deepest layer of skin while protecting moisture barrier of the outermost layer.
Barrier Repair Complex™ : Rovectin’s exclusive Barrier Repair Complex™, along with other natural moisturizers, fortifies the skin's protective layer and prevents moisture loss.
Trehalose : This natural extract increases skin’s ability to hold moisture.
Caffeine: Firms skin and reduces puffiness.
Panthenol (Vitamin B5) : This humectant improves hydration, reduces inflammation of the skin and accelerates healing of epidermal wounds.
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) : Water-soluble vitamin that works with the natural substances in skin to help visibly improve the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, wrinkles, and dullness.

Conclusion
To conclude, Rovectin Aqua Hyaluronic Essence has a level of viscosity with tackiness that made it difficult for me to love this product. I prefer to use it as a lotion mask to hydrate, plump skin and minimize flakiness.
