Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream is my last product from my Isntree haul from sometime back.
As we age, our skin loses Hyaluronic Acid and its ability to hold sufficient water in this reservoir. Therefore, adding hyaluronic acid to your skincare regime helps hydrate the skin's intercellular reservoir, increasing its internal moisture levels and reducing signs of ageing like wrinkles.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream comes in a 80ml blue tube with a clear flick-top cap. White in colour, it has a light plastic scent with a gel-cream consistency. Do note that the updated version has since been upgraded to a 100ml size.

As the last stage of your skincare routine, apply a suitable amount and spread evenly over your skin gently massaging to help absorption.
Performance and Ingredients
Packed with five kinds of Hyaluronic Acid to intensely hydrate skin, Squalene from Olive Oil to refine skin texture, Aloe Juice to soothe irritation and Sodium PCA to prevent dryness, the light gel-cream was specially formulated for oily and combination skin types to keep skin moisturised and balanced and is ideal for more humid conditions.
Cooling and soothing, the gel cream spreads easily with a light and refreshing feel. It has a 3 step moisture capture system to hold moisture tightly keeping skin moisturized for long hours.
3 steps moisturizing
Step 1 : Hydrate deeply with 5 types of Hyaluronic Acid with different sizes of molecules.
Step 2 : Calm skin without irritation with Centella Asiatica Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract and Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract.
Step 3 : Make moisture protective film on skin with Betaine, Sodium PCA and Phytosqualane.
It pairs perfectly well with Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner for smooth, soft, supple and hydrated skin. Flakiness on the forehead were all gone. Overall, my skin looked plumped and healthy.
However, on its own, it left a slight shiny finishing, making my combination skin looked slightly oily, so it wasn't ideal pairing with other toners. It was alittle disappointing, to be honest, since HA usually work relatively well for me.

Hyaluronic Acid : Also known as "Moisture tank" as it draws in moisture 1,000 times of its weight. It helps maintain the necessary moisture for skin by preventing evaporation of moisture. The 5 types of HAs are Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid and Hyaluronic Acid.
Aloe Vera and Trehalose : Soothe skin and strengthen moisture barrier.
Licorice Extract : Brightens and fades sun spots and hyperpigmentation.
Centella Asiatica and Green Tea Extract : Provide antioxidants and anti-inflammatory, soothing benefits.

Conclusion
To conclude, Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream wasn't an ideal fit for me on its own but paired beautifully with its own Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner for soft, smooth, supple and hydrated skin, giving rise to plumped and healthy look.
This won't be a repurchase and sad to say, I am disappointed with how it works for my skin type but what don't work for me, may just work well for you. Adding on, I really dislike the plastic scent.
Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream has been said to be a good alternative to Clinique Moisture Surge 100H Auto Replenishing Hydrator.
