Its been 5 years since I last reviewed any nail polishes as I have been using the old ones but when most of them dried up, it was time for me to look out for new ones to add to my humble collection.
Withshyan caught my eye because it was made in Korea and selling at a reasonable price without the nasties. You can check out their products on Withshyan. In Singapore, I purchased them from Hebeloft.
I love shimmers and glitters in my nail polishes so I chose the above 2 colours from their Diamonds series - D02 Kiera and D04 Belina.
The diamond series have glitters because they contain diamond pearls of various sizes and shapes.
Both Withshyan D02 Kiera and D04 Belina Nail Polish dry in 60 seconds so that you have more time for other things in life. Withshyan uses a self-developed formula to dry quickly and minimizes the inconvenience of using nail polish in a rush.
Unfortunately, the application for both nail polishes differ drastically like chalk and cheese. Kiera has
a thick and almost "lumpy" texture so it does not apply easily while Belina has a runnier and more fluid texture which makes it slightly easier to apply than Kiera.
How To Apply :
1) Apply base coat
2) Apply color, in one smooth motion, move the brush across the center of the nail, from cuticle to tip. Then, swipe it along the left and right side.
3) Apply one or two more coats to even it out and increase the richness of the color.
4) Apply top coat for more glossy finish.
How To Remove :
And because of the diamond pearls on the nail polish, the texture on the nails felt rough to the touch so its not a smooth finishing like other nail polishes. Hence, its not a pleasant sensation when I accidentally "rub" against my face or nose or when fibers got caught on the textured nails.
The nail polish itself is thick so 2 coats are needed for the opacity that I required. Unfortunately, those on my fingernails fell off easily in large pieces, as though you can almost scrape them off with your nails.
However, when it was applied on my toes, the nail polish colour was so difficult to remove. 3 different nail polish removers of mine can only remove scraps of it and I am still struggling to remove it after a week.
Glitter nail polishes are known to be difficult to remove but Withshyan D02 Kiera literally takes the cake.
I go for this colour when I want a sweet and feminine vibe, however, other than the beautiful colour, everything about it is bad! Thankfully, I purchased it at a promotional price.
But I have to add on, I am a klutz and I don't apply nail polish on a regular basis, so probably you may have an easier time than me.
Withshyan D04 Belina is an intense red that screams for attention. I love how bold the colour is, just perfect for date nights. Similarly to D02 Kiera, it takes 2 coats to reach the level of opacity I like. However, this is more runny and applies easier than Kiera.
The actual colour looked alittle different from the picture as shown so it was a little disappointing. It reminded me vaguely of OPI Let Me Entertain You and OPI Katy Perry, however it is still a gorgeous red except its alittle to similar to what I owned. The shimmers were not that obvious.
Removing the nail polish was slightly easier than Withshyan D02 Kiera so thats not too bad.

In terms of ingredients, Withshyan polishes do not contain the following commonly used chemicals.
- DBP was included in nail polish formulas because it acted as a binder and improved the durability and the ability of nail polish to last a long time without chipping.
- Toluene is a solvent that was used in many nail polish formulations to dissolve other ingredients and make a nice smooth, easy-to-apply polish. After application to the nail, toluene will volatilize, or evaporate and leave a smooth, glossy finish.
- Technically, nail polishes don’t contain straight formaldehyde, they contain a resin called tosylamide formaldehyde resin. This resin ensures that the polish adhered to the nail’s surface and made the polish tough and resilient.
