A good friend has just came back from Tokyo and gifted about 10 capsules of the popular Kanebo Suisai Beauty Clear Powder for me to try it out.

However, I did not get as much foam as the illustration above but I do notice that foam increases the more I lather the powder on my palms before using, so if you prefer more foam in your cleanser, spend some time "lathering" it.
After every use, my face would be silky smooth but unfortunately, my face and palms are also slightly drying. Occasionally, it makes the broken capillaries on the sides of my nose red too. Using a cotton bud also help to clear out sebaceous filaments on the sides of my nose, making the pores looked cleaner.
Do note that, since Kanebo Suisai Beauty Clear Powder acts like an exfoliating cleanser, there is no need to use it every day but you can replace your regular cleanser once/twice a week, to get rid of the accumulating dead cells.

I redeemed 3 samples of Kanebo Suisai Beauty Clear Powder from an online sampling campaign after reading that they are the newer and improved version with the new name - Suisai Beauty Clear Powder Wash N. Unfortunately, there is no letter N on my capsules, but they are blue ( bottom ) in packaging while the original version was white.
The upgraded version as described on their website contains Ethyl Glucoside and Sodium Hyaluronate which function as skin-conditioning agents - humectant and hence may be less drying than the original version. Definitely great news for consumers like me!
Similarly to the original version, Suisai Beauty Clear Powder Wash N uses 2 kinds of enzyme and amino acid-based cleansing ingredients - Proteolytic Enzyme ( Protease ) and Lipolytic Enzyme ( Lipase ) and are coated with silk in order to be stabilized and remain effective for a long time as enzymes become less active under high humidity and temperature conditions.
When I tried the first capsule, I can feel the difference where its definitely less drying than the original version as the tightness on my skin and hands were lesser, however subsequent usages for the next 2 capsules felt about the same as the original version where the skin tightness was apparent.
Face would be super smooth and hands slightly less drying but 5 minutes after rinsing off the powder wash, the tightness on the face just isn't something I prefer so unfortunately, I would still peg the improved version as being unsuitable for my skin type.
That said, my skin condition does plays a part, it may felt less drying on good skin days which was probably what happened for the first capsule but more often than not, its still drying for my skin. I just can't buy a product to be used on good skin days so its important to me that they must be suitable for me on most days.
