I purchased the Beautiful Rituals Face Care set at AUD130 ( worth AUD173 ) in Australia sometime back which comprises of Rosewater Balancing Mist 100ml, Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cream Mask 100ml and Skin Balancing Face Oil 50ml.

Formulated without parabens, sulfates, phthalates, Jurlique Skin Balancing Face Oil is 99% natural and free from silicones, PEGs, colorants and preservatives.
The oil is light orange in colour, feels lightweight and gets absorbed into the skin pretty quickly. There is no greasy after-feel, a definite plus for me. I tend to prefer using oil in the night due to its greasy texture but not for this Skin Balancing Oil - since it sinks into the skin with the right amount of consistency, without feeling sticky or yucky.
I definitely see an improvement to my skin within weeks. My skin is softer and more supple, smooth to the touch and the pores on my nose looked slightly smaller. It balances out the oil on my combination skin and provides moisture to where its needed.
As some of my regular readers may know, I used to be averse to trying out facial oils but have started being open about experimenting with them lately. I have tried Grown Alchemist Anti-Oxidant Facial Oil, Happy Skincare Good Vibes Omega Oil, Frank Skincare Juicier Luxury Face Oil, Kahina Giving 100% Organic Argan Oil and HABA Squalene Oil but Jurlique Skin Balancing Face Oil literally takes the cake. I am truly impressed with the brand after using this.
That was then. Few months down the road, this product seemed to have lost its effect. My skin is constantly dehydrated, even with using Jurlique Skin Balancing Face Oil day and night. My skin only looks good when I applied it. However, the following morning, my skin is back to its rough and dehydrated state. I can feel a slight tautness whenever I face the air-con directly, like in the car. And it gets worse if I sleep in an air-conditioned room.
It took me months to write this review, as I wanted to see if my skin likes it. However, the initial improvement that I experienced was no longer apparent and I can't wait to finish it, to start another product which may work better. How about you?
