The minerals in the rice softens as it scrubs away dirt and dead skin to reveal a brighter, fresher looking skin. With a luxury mix of cocoa butter and sweet almond oil to hydrate thirsty skin, leaving it toned and silky soft.
Handmade Heroes, a local brand, has been doing very well, with its natural, vegan, paraben-free and cruelty-free products. It also uses BPA-free packaging - would be perfect if it will take back its scrub tubs for recycling.
Handmade Heroes Super Duper Nourishing Rice Scrub in Christmas Mint flavour is minty, cooling and feel very festive, suitable for that Christmas season. I love the minty and invigorating scent but I don't really like the extra cold minty sensation on skin, especially during the mornings or rainy weather. It would be great for very hot months like May/June period but not other months, at least for me, as a personal preference. The coldness lingers for a long while and because I dislike extreme hot/cold sensations on my skin, this scrub is not really for me.
That aside, I do like the extremely smooth skin after each scrub session and the cocoa butter as one of its ingredients, helps to moisture the skin, so that we don't have to apply a body lotion thereafter.
Do note that the contents tend to harden and stick to the edges of the tub so, much effort and strength are needed to scrap it off to become powdery substance for usage.
