I received a tiny sample vial of the Josh Rosebrook Active Infusion Serum with my purchase of other products from AnUpliftedDay recently. I always look forward to trying out sample sizes for new products, to ensure it suits my skin type.
The Josh Rosebrook Active Infusion Serum sample vial has enabled me to use it for up to a week. I always pair it with the Josh Rosebrook Vital Balm Cream and both products work well to provide hydration and that smooth after-feel on skin.
I like to use a hydrating mist, just before any oil serum and during the trial week, I have been using the Swisse Deep Sea Hydrating Mist Toner, prior to Josh Rosebrook Active Infusion Serum application.
The Infusion Serum has a natural scent which is unique on its own. It is pleasant but does take some time for my nose to adjust to it. The texture isn't too thick or too greasy yet more time is needed for the serum to get absorbed into my skin. A little goes a long way, which explains why my tiny sample vial was able to last me for a week.
Unfortunately, for my skin type, the serum tends to look like it sits on the surface, making my face looks alittle red around the nose wings and cheeks and shiny on my T-zone. It could be a glow on other skin types, but on my face, it just looks just a tad shiny.
Despite that, I can feel that it hydrates my skin, the moment I applied it on my dehydrated and parched skin. There is an immediate comfort, smoothness and softness. However, the effect lasts as long as the next cleanse.
Personally, I appreciate the superior ingredients in Josh Rosebrook products and trust that he takes skin ingredients seriously but not every product works the same way for every skin type. So unfortunately, I don't think the product justifies the price for its performance on my skin.
