Review : Trilogy Cream Cleanser

Product Description
This simple one-step cleanser does more than just remove make-up and impurities from face and eyes. Non-drying, it leaves skin feeling smoother, softer and beautifully refreshed.  It's your perfect preparation morning and night. Soft, smooth completely clean skin with rosehip, evening primrose and carrot.

With a soft spot for creamy cleansers, its no wonder why I picked up Trilogy Cream Cleanser during my trip to Melbourne last year. It was cheaper than getting it in Singapore so into the basket, it goes.

Hailing from New Zealand, Trilogy is famed for its rosehip oils and this is my first foray into the brand. The Trilogy Cream Cleanser is certified by BioGro New Zealand, the country's natural and organic skin leading certifier. Trilogy is also the first New Zealand Skincare brand to achieve NATRUE certification, back in 2012.

NATRUE is a Brussels-based international non-profit association which promotes and protects natural and organic cosmetics worldwide. It’s one of the world’s most transparent standards and guarantees only natural and organic ingredients, soft manufacturing processes and sustainable environmental practices. It also means NO animal testing, NO synthetic fragrances and colours, NO GMO ingredients, NO petroleum and silicone oils and derivatives, and NO irradiation of end products and botanical ingredients.

The face cleanser received 3 awards as illustrated below. You can also read more about the brand here

At 100ml, it lasted me for about 2 months with once-a-day usage. The packaging has a minimalist feminine chic feel, however, the material is far from what the brand is trying to convey. I dropped it once, in the bathroom, the cap broke and can never be closed again.

White in colour, this cream cleanser has a subtle natural floral scent with a light to medium consistency. However, I didn't find this to be particular nourishing. Yes, it is soft and looks creamy at first glance. But somehow, it has a little squeaky-clean kind of dryness during cleansing. That said, my skin was not irritated after each wash.

Trilogy Cream Cleanser works for me as a decent cleanser, after removing my make-up with micellar water. But its not a cleanser which I particular like, or well suited for my skin type.

The product scored 4.2 from 63 users on Makeupalley.
