Beauty shopping when I am overseas always made me excited and happy because I get to try new brands and sometimes at a lower cost than back in Singapore.
I stumbled upon Natural Instinct Moisture Surge Shampoo and Conditioner in one of the pharmacies in Tasmania 3 months ago. I have never heard of the brand but the ingredients look good - it has a Natural Instinct Ingredient Standard which is their own inhouse unique authenticity standard for crafting truly natural plant derived products free from PEGS, Propylene Glycol, Mineral Oils, Phenoxyethanol, EDTA, Sulphates, Silicones, Parabens, PABA, artificial fragrances, colours and over 400 man-made synthetic chemicals. You can check out the list of ingredients Natural Instinct avoid. Their products are also not tested on animals.
The light yellow coloured tube with its flick-top cap dispenses the shampoo contents with light depressions on the tube itself. The fragrance is hardly discernable. Sulphate-free, their shampoo has very minimal foam, so much so that sometimes I can't feel that I am washing my hair and tend to wonder if my hair is clean. The Moisture Surge Shampoo is very gentle on the scalp and hair and is recommended for daily washes, if you are out the whole day.
For someone who washes her hair daily, I can do away with washing my hair on alternate days if I will be at home the whole day, but not so, if I will be outside as my hair gets oily easily. So despite the shampoo being gentle, it still keep my hair and scalp clean.
Housed in the same flick-top cap tube as the shampoo, I personally feel that Natural Instinct Moisture Surge Conditioner does not make much difference to my hair. With or without the creamy white conditioner, my hair still feel the same - thick, slight frizziness and dry hair ends.
Both Natural Instinct Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner are mediocre products with decent ingredients. However, I don't really see or feel a difference in terms of shine, texture or softness. They kept my hair and thats it.
