Review : Laneige Essential Balancing Emulsion Moisture

Product Description
Moisture care for dry skin with flaky dead skin cells. The moisturizing type makes skin feel moisturized and soft

Laneige Essential Balancing Emulsion Moisture is part of the Essential Care Travel Kit, gifted from a good friend. I love hydrating products and this set was a great way for me to test drive the products all at one go.

It contains Laneige Water Balancing Activator to restore skin’s moisture balance and keeps skin moisturized by preventing loss of moisture. Its ingredient of jojoba oil keeps skin moisturized and soft with its moisturizing effect.

I was a little apprehensive when I brought along the Essential Power Skin Refiner Moisture, Essential Balancing Emulsion Moisture and Water Bank Moisture Cream to my Tasmania trip back in August this year. It was the end of winter but still cold and perhaps drying for skin so I was not sure if these Laneige products can hold on its own.

I am paranoid when it comes to taking care of skin overseas and hydration is very important to me, so other than hydrating skin care products, I will also bring along facial mist, sheet masks and gel/cream masks. I am so glad to say that its a PASS for these Laneige products. The winning product from the lot is the Water Bank Moisture Cream which I will review in a few days time.

The combination of all 3 products has sufficiently hydrate my skin, although I do apply 2 masks every night, just before these products application when I am overseas. Back in Singapore, I still apply the 3 Laneige products religiously ( I skipped the double masking ) until my skin is back to its optimal stage.

The Laneige Essential Balancing Emulsion Moisture is a white milky lotion with the same distinct overpowering Laneige scent. It is non-sticky, non-greasy and moisturises my skin, as what it is suppose to do. Do not stop there, use the Water Bank Moisture Cream to seal in all the goodness.
Note that the Essential Balancing Emulsion Moisture is meant for dry skin.

On its own, Laneige Essential Balancing Emulsion Moisture does not moisture that well, it needs the Water Bank Moisture Cream to up the game of hydration. Using just Essential Power Skin Refiner Moisture and Essential Balancing Emulsion Moisture, they do not make the cut.

The emulsion scored 4.1 from 21 users on Makeupalley.
