Giovanni 2Chic Avocado and Olive Oil Ultra-Moist Shampoo is a mild formula that is said to nourish the hair with vitamins and omega fatty acids and are rich with vitamin C, E, K and B6 antioxidants.
Housed in a green tube with a small opening, the shampoo flowed out easily in monster-green coloured contents. Creamy with a grass-y scent, Giovanni Ultra Moist Shampoo lathers very well, providing much suds all over the hair.
However, despite washing my hair every day, I found the shampoo to be too mild to be effective. My scalp was itchy and sometimes developed dandruff. It was a bad hair experience.
Giovanni 2Chic Avocado and Olive Oil Ultra-Moist Conditioner is light green in colour and dispenses via a small gap, similar to the shampoo. It is thick and creamy and I don't need too much of the conditioner after I cut away my long and thick tresses. In fact, my shampoo depleted faster than my conditioner which is a rarity.
The conditioner with a lighter grass-y scent did soften my hair but it was nothing worth to shout about. It was decent but nothing WOW.
The shampoo has a EWG rating of 5 and the conditioner has a EWG rating of 4, with fragrance as a top concern for both products.
Giovanni 2Chic Avocado and Olive Oil Ultra-Moist Shampoo & Conditioner get mostly positive reviews on the blogsphere but unfortunately, they did not work for my hair. However, if you are interested, you can still get the products here.
