Review : Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream

Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream which I used last year, has since been replaced with EX and EX Light version. So yes, my review came slightly late. *sheepish grin*

Despite seemingly apt to be an anti-aging product with anti-aging properties, especially with the inclusive of ginseng, it does contain some brightening ingredients in their long list of ingredients.

Licorice and Morus Alba Root Extract are excellent ingredients commonly found in brightening products to treat hyperpigmentation.  

Treating this as a primarily anti-aging product with a brightening bonus, the rich texture of the Ginseng Renewing Cream meant that I tend to use this at night. The 20ml sample I owned has lasted me for quite awhile. A whiff of ginseng scent hits you once you open up the pretty tub, revealing a white and buttery formula. 

Due to the inclusion of silicon-laden ingredient, the cream glides smoothly, but requires some time for it to be absorbed into the skin. After several minutes, my skin feels smooth and hydrated with a thin layer of sheen. It doesn't feel greasy or sticky but just a little shiny. 

Every morning, my skin looks like it has a soft glow after using the Ginseng Renewing Cream the previous night. Softer and well-rested skin too. However, in terms of hyperpigmentation, I didn't see any visible difference. While I didn't quite like the extremely long list of ingredients which also include several parabens, it didn't cause any breakouts thankfully.

This product used to retail at $276. Best to get a sample to try before investing in the full retail size. It scored 4.4 from 13 users on Makeupalley.
