Review : Japan Gal VC + Nano Collagen Mask

Product Description
Japan Gal VC + Nano Collagen Mask includes Vitamin C ( Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate ) and nano collagen which help skin to be elastic and moisturised. Use daily for healthier and young looking skin. This anti-aging formula prevents the formation of dark spots and freckles due to sunburn.

I purchased a pack of Japan Gal VC + Nano Collagen Mask 30 sheets for S$25.52, after a 20% discount from John Little. It was my first time venturing into this brand, despite the brand having been in Singapore for a long while.

I usually prefer individual sheets for convenience as 30 sheets all stacked up on each other, can be cumbersome and messy. But its actually better for the earth, with less packaging being used.

Among all the masks carried by April Boulevard, Japan Gal VC + Nano Collagen Mask is their #1 best seller. It is also the winner for Best Hydrating Mask under Cleo Beauty Hall of Fame.

The orange box makes one feel happy, simply because its so bright and it fits the "vitamin C' concept with its colour. It is pretty heavy, because of 30 wet masks in one box. Open up the box and you will see another orange resealable pack where each mask sheet is stacked on top of each other.

Said to hydrate, lighten pigmentation and firm skin, the mask is made of 100% Japanese cotton and is thin enough to layer comfortably on my face. However, because of its thin material, it tends to tear easily. The cutouts are not an exact fit for my face shape too, with too wide cut-out area for the eyes and lips. The bonus eye flaps hardly cover my big eyes. I have a tendency to spend a few minutes to adjust the mask sheet as the size is slightly larger than my cherubic face shape. I wondered how it fits nicely on those with small pretty face shape.

The mask is just very moist with essence, not the type of dripping mess. However, it dries up pretty fast, within 15 minutes. If you layer it longer than the recommended 10 minutes, you may feel that your skin feels parched. It is best to stick within the 10 minutes to reap all the goodness from the mask.

Personally, I think it is a decent value-for-money mask sheet, great for daily or alternate day usage. It has a subtle brightening effect on the skin, immediately after usage. Hydration is pretty mediocore. I would recommend this mask for brightening, rather than hydration. Overall, it isn't spectacular but good for beauty maintenance.
