As the last product in my daytime skincare regime, Grown Alchemist Hydra-Repair Day Cream with Camellia and Geranium serves as the last step to seal in the goodness of the serums prior to the day cream application as well as an added hydration to the skin.
The day cream is contained in a tube form which tends to get pretty dented after much depressions. However, a little goes a long way as my day cream is hardly dented even after 2.5 months of consistent usage.
Grown Alchemist Hydra-Repair Day Cream with Camellia and Geranium is white in colour, with a soothing scent, has a lightweight to medium texture and applies well. It gets absorbed into the skin after a short while, without any sticky or greasy residue.
Personally, when it comes to moisturisers, I tend to prefer a gel than a cream texture as I dislike any greasy or heavy consistency in products on my combination skin. So thank goodness, that this day cream is non-greasy and does not cause any breakouts.
I do feel the hydration, coming from this product, but somehow, I didn't think it was sufficient enough. It did not seem to penetrate deeply into my skin, to quench dehydrated areas.
In fact, I didn't like this product as much as I thought I will. And at times, it seems kind of redundant in my skincare arsenal as I don't see/feel a spectacular difference with or without this product. However, I do see the need to layer a product after the serums, so this day cream served that purpose but not what it is suppose to deliver.
You will be glad to know that this day cream is free from skin aging toxins and carcinogens; no lauryl sulphate, no petro-chemicals, no artifical fragrance, no nitrosamine releasers, no D.E.A, no T.E.A, no parabens, no paraffins, no synthetic colours and no glycols.
