Packaging, Scent and Texture
Celimax JiWooGae Cica BHA Blemish Toner Pad comes in an original tub of 60 pads but mine was a trial gift which comes in a re-sealable pack of 10 pads.
It has a refreshing tea tree scent mixed with a strong alcohol scent which can be off-putting to some, including myself, and can be drying for the long term so I don't foresee myself using it for a long period.
The thin textured pads are round and stacked upon each other. Moist and convenient for daily use as toner pads.
How To Use :
Take a pad, gently wipe across the entire face and tap to let absorb.
Performance and Ingredients
This anti-acne Cica BHA Blemish Toner Pad helps to remove dead skin cells and excess sebum for clear skin. It exfoliates rough skin with BHA, PHA and LHA for a smooth finish. Infused with seven kinds of plant extract (like Camellia Japonica Flower Extract) to tighten pores and calm irritation. Gentle formulation is said to be suitable for all skin types including sensitive and acne-prone skin.
The embossed cotton pads with cross strips are thin but large. They provide a quick and convenient way to apply an exfoliating toner, by swiping a pad over the face and you can move on to the next step in your skincare routine. It has a fresh finish with a subtle tackiness which isn't a major issue for me, as a serum or moisturizer will be the next step in my routine.
Initially, the refreshing tea tree scent was strong, but as I used more of the pads, the alcohol scent took over the tea tree scent and was rather off-putting for me. However, I do appreciate the light exfoliation and how the pads soothe the newly formed zits, preventing them from eruption. With regular use, I noticed it helps to slightly reduce my T-zone sebum.
That said, I can't use them on the face everyday as it can be drying, and I wouldn't recommend using these toner pads on dehydrated skin too, as it will create more oil on the skin to compensate for the loss of moisture, making my skin looked oily.
Other than using on the face, you would be happy to know that these pads can be used to exfoliate neck, chest, elbows and knees too!
A word of caution : AHAs and BHAs, such as glycolic, salicylic, and lactic acids should never be used with Vitamin C. While AHA helps renew the skin's surface, BHA gets deeper into the pores to remove dead cells and excess sebum. Alpha hydroxy, beta hydroxy and Vitamin C are all acidic ingredients. Therefore, when you layer AHA/BHA with Vitamin C, you will experience irritation on your skin
Retinol combined with AHAs and BHAs is a literal recipe for disaster, leaving your skin dry and irritated, since the main job of AHAs and BHAs is to exfoliate, which retinol already effectively does. It is better to mix AHAs and BHAs with moisturizing ingredients and SPF.
If you are using Celimax JiWooGae Cica BHA Blemish Toner Pad, it is best to pair with hydrating products ( remember to use SPF ) and avoid Vitamin C or Retinol in the same routine. If you use the toner pads in the day, you can use Vitamin C or Retinol in the night, but avoid them in the same routine.
The smart alec in me, thought Jumiso All Day Brightening & Balancing Serum is a gentle serum that wouldn't interfere with this toner pad but I was wrong. It caused redness and itchiness after I used a toner pad followed by Jumiso serum (contains Ascorbic Acid) but thankfully, the irritation subsided after an hour.

Salicylic Acid : A type of BHA which acts as an exfoliant, effective in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and improving overall skin texture, without the occasional irritation associated with the use of AHAs.
Lactobionic Acid : A type of PHA which acts as an exfoliant, also known as the next generation AHA, with almost all the benefits and more and without the irritation. It gently lifts off dead skin cells and makes your skin smooth and even. It moisturizes and helps the skin barrier.
Capryloyl Salicylic Acid : A type of LHA which acts as an exfoliant, with skin renewing, exfoliating, and acne treating properties. The slow penetration of LHA results in an individual cell-by-cell exfoliation that is associated with excellent tolerability.
Camellia Japonica Flower Extract : Helps to minimize pores.
Centella Asiatica Extract : Offers potent antioxidant properties, contains a rich source of amino acids to soothe upset or compromised skin, while also improving hydration. Help revitalize skin's protective barrier and may mitigate some of the visible effects of sun damage.
Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Extract, Pelargonium Graveolens Extract, Uncaria Tomentosa Extract, Agrimonia Eupatoria Extract, Corydalis Turtschaninovii Root Extract, Cupressus Sempervirens Leaf Extract, Nepeta Cataria Extract : Also known as Hepta-cne Complex, a formula made with 7 types of plant extract to reduce sebum production.
Also note that alcohol is included, so beware if you are sensitive to it.

Conclusion
To conclude, Celimax JiWooGae Cica BHA Blemish Toner Pad is an exfoliating toner pad that soothes newly formed zits and also helps to reduce sebum on my combination skin with regular use. It is slightly drying so I won't use them everyday and I am not a fan of its strong alcohol scent.
