Review : Kyoto Njio Kyonoyuki Cleansing Oil

Product Description
Kyonoyuki (京乃雪 or Snow of Kyoto) is a premium organic skin care brand from Kyoto. Its Cleansing Oil is made from 27 natural herbs and 8 vegetable oils, providing care and comfort to your skin and helping to maintain your skin’s pH balance. Containing plant oil and Vitamin E, Kyonoyuki Cleansing Oil is able to effectively yet gently remove all make-up, leaving the skin clean, hydrated, soft and moisturized. This is not only a great product for cleansing the skin but also helps to fight aging and keep your skin firm and young. Its refreshing lavender fragrance helps to relax the skin especially after a long day at work.

I first came across the sampler set at Japan Skin which has since closed down. They consist of 4 products which are good sizes for 1 week usage.

The sampler set is said to blend water from Kyoto and medicinal plants grown in Japan. There are 27 medicinal plants, which includes Japanese mugwort and perilla leaf, which are soaked in natural spring water from Kurama in Kyoto to create extracts for beautiful skin. To boost the beautifying and moisturizing effects of these skincare products, the maker adds seven varieties of extracts, including okura and ginseng, and eight varieties of plant oil, including oils of rice bran and macadamia nut.

Impressive, eh? The sampler set contains four items—Cleansing Oil, Natural Soap, Massage Cream, and Recovery Gel Cream however this review will focus on the Cleaning Oil ( a 20ml trial size ) and the rest of the products review will be up soon.

I simply adore the Kyoto Njio Kyonoyuki Cleansing Oil. It smells good ( with a relaxing lavender scent ), cleanses well and left my skin feeling baby smooth. There was no over-the-top greasiness and no tightness or dryness. It is also easy to rinse off with water.

Cleansing oil is recommended to be massage onto the skin for a minute or so and concentrate on areas where the skin is more clogged like the nose. The oils work to pull out the dirt from the skin and bind the impurities with it, allowing them to be rinse away and left the skin feeling refreshed and soft.

As a rule, use lukewarm water or facial sponges to remove the cleansing oil as warm water is said to cleanse better. Beside, when skin is in contact with too hot or too cold water may cause aggravation or outbreaks. Just observe that skin does not usually cope well in arctic elements or overly dry heat.

Check out the cleansing oil ingredients here.

I have so much love for Kyoto Njio Kyonoyuki Cleansing Oil and if you know where to get it in Singapore or online, let me know. I will love to get the full retail size. Note that, I don't use it around the eyes to remove eye make-up as I use a separate eye make up remover for that purpose.
