MKUP Real Complexion Cream Derm White Moisture Shield Review
Product Description
MKUP Real Complexion Cream Derm White Moisture Shield is a brightening color-correcting, pores minimizing face cream that uses natural colours from roses and groomwell root to create a natural flawless face glow without the need for makeup.

It is an effective whitening moisturizer, packed with potent formulation of 2% Tranexamic Acid, Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid, to effectively lightens and whitens skin and fully boosted with water.

Dull, uneven skin with big pores transformed immediately to beautiful naked skin without the need of makeup or harsh cleansing so that skin can have more time to breathe and heal to its optimal level.

Hailing from Taiwan, MKUP is professional makeup designed for beginners with the motto " Zero Burden, Zero technique, Seamless Application " to achieve your perfect look. It is vegan friendly, alcohol-free, paraben-free and 100% cruelty-free.

I won a 50ml size of MKUP Real Complexion Cream Derm White Moisture Shield from a surprise giveaway ( the prizes were picked randomly ) and has been using it occasionally. I was happy to be given a chance to try this popular product but unfortunately, it just doesn't fit into my usual skincare routine. Read more below....

Packaging, Scent and Texture

MKUP Real Complexion Cream Derm White Moisture Shield comes in a pretty plastic bottle with a pink cap. It has a pump design to prevent oxidation where you just depress it lightly to get the contents out for usage.

The white-pinkish cream has a medium consistency with a lightweight texture, however, the distinct floral scent was overwhelming for me. The colour and texture reminded me vaguely of Naruko Rose Hydrating Tone-Up Cream.

How To Use :

Performance and Ingredients

Said to be a lazy girl's beauty hack to achieve instant luminous dewy glow, MKUP Real Complexion Cream is a moisturiser with a dual whitening effect where it corrects the skin tone and whitens skin overtime and you achieve dewy and supple skin after application.

It moisturises, repairs and strengthens skin barrier with its 2% Tranexamic Acid and 4.5% Hyaluronic Acid. It does not contain alcohol, colorant and paraben.

As a moisturiser, it applies with a white cast and you need to massage and blend it in before seeing the brightening effect. I like how it brightens up my skin with a radiant glow when you apply sparingly. However, as a moisturiser, I tend to apply more which meant that the white cast can be quite annoying and made me look like Casper at times.

On my combination skin, it oils up slightly with a subtle sheen after a couple of hours which is common for my skin type. It works well on optimal skin and would be flaky on dehydrated skin which is surprising as only makeup products would be like that. A true moisturiser should not be flaky on dehydrated skin.

And since MKUP Real Complexion Cream contains Triple Hyaluronic Acid as a base with more than 11% in concentration level ( consists of Hyaluronic Essence 1000ppm, Hydrolysis Hyaluronic Acid 100ppm, Acetylation Hyaluronic Acid 30ppm ), I was disappointed that it is not as hydrating as I expect it to be.

I also tried using it as a glowing base, where I use the complexion cream after my regular moisturiser, but the white cast still gets to me, especially when I am rushing for time and still needs to massage and blend it all in.

Conclusion

To conclude, MKUP Real Complexion Cream Derm White Moisture Shield doesn't really fit ideally into my skincare routine. As a moisturiser, it fails to moisturise my skin fully while as a glowing base, I still need to spend time to massage and blend in to minimize the white cast.

That said, if you apply sparingly, it does brighten up the skin with a radiant glow but you need to play around with the correct ratio to get the desired look.
