Product Description
Neogence Arbutin Brightening Mask contains Arbutin extracted from natural Bearberry, it effectively inhibits melanin production and reduces dark spots. Revealing bright and even skin tone. New upgraded tencel sheet mask adheres perfectly on the face.
I purchased Neogence Arbutin Brightening Mask from Sasa Singapore just before it closed down. Check out my previous review on Neogence Algae Extract Hydrating Mask.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Similarly to Neogence Algae Extract Hydrating Mask, Neogence Arbutin Brightening Mask also comes in a box of 6 individually packed sheet masks. Each sheet mask is wrapped within a blue plastic protective layering.
The sheet mask is generous in size but with smaller cutouts although they still fit my face shape well. The tencel material is thin with good adherence.
How To Use :
1) Peel off the sachet, unfold the mask, apply the mask tightly to the entire face.
2) Remove after 15-20 minutes. Pat the remaining essence into skin.
note : Not necessary to wash off after use.
Performance and Ingredients
Made in Taiwan, Neogence Arbutin Brightening Mask is said to reduce dark spots, leave skin brighter and even out skin tone.
I like that the sheet mask is generous in size which stretched all the way to the edges of the face and the cutouts although alittle smaller than preferred but still fit well on my face. Skin is left feeling soft and smooth but not brighter as claimed.
The key ingredient is Arbutin which is pretty well-known and often used ingredient with the magic ability to fade brown spots. It's used traditionally in Japan and can be found naturally in a couple of plants, including the leaves of pear trees, wheat and bearberry. Its major benefit is to lighten skin coloration, even out tones and reduce levels of dark pigmentations

Conclusion
To conclude, Neogence Arbutin Brightening Mask didn't quite work out for me. It left my skin soft and smooth but not brighter and these are effects which I can get from most sheet masks. I won't repurchase this.
I highly recommend Saturday Skin Spotlight Brightening Mask and For Beloved One Advanced Anti-Aging Ceramide Squalane Bio-Cellulose Mask as alternatives and these are also in my Top 25 Beauty Empties in 2020!
