Steam eye masks are not new to me. I have previously tried out SNP Animal Warming Eye Mask, Mediheal Warming Eye Mask and Kao Megurhythm Steam Hot Eye Mask but my favourite would be Mediheal Warming Eye Mask.
These prints from A'pieu Steam Eye Mask ( Dog Edition ) were so adorable that I couldn't resist purchasing a pack of 5 pieces during my last Korea trip and have been saving them for my travels but unfortunately, its not going to happen anytime soon, so I have to use them up before the expiry date. Lets see how it measures up to my favourite Mediheal Warming Eye Mask, shall we?
Packaging, Scent and Cutting
A'pieu Steam Eye Mask ( Dog Edition ) is packed individually as shown in the picture above. It has a subtle chemical scent when layered on the eyes. The cutting is comfortable and fits snugly without being too tight or too loose, with 2 hooks at the back to secure to the ears. You can certainly toss on the bed and they would not dislocate.
How To Use :
1) Open the package and take out eye mask
* Eye mask starts heating up upon opening the package, so use immediately
2) Tear along the line to separate the ear hooks
3) Put on with the white side facing the eyes and with the slit toward your nose
4) Enjoy the warm steam and relax for about 20 minutes until the mask cools off
Performance and Ingredients
A'pieu Steam Eye Mask ( Dog Edition ) started to heat up within minutes once its out of the packaging and being layered on the eyes. It gradually heats up to a maximum of 45 degrees, stays for a short while before losing heat down to a subtle warm temperature. Fret not, as the heat isn't scalding but just right.
The whole process was surprisingly pretty quick - about 20 to 30 minutes and the warmth became very subtle. I still have it on for about 1 to 1.5 hours before removing it.
The eye mask helps to relax the eyes and the mind with a warm and soothing steam bath. Unfortunately, due the heat at 45 degrees for that short while, there was condensation on the eyes area occasionally, wipe it off and continue to have that eye mask on.
I use this twice-weekly nights as each pack comes with 5 pieces. I do notice less puffiness occasionally but more puffiness on other days. The result isn't consistent.
Convenient for travels and on planes, these individually packed steam eye masks are great for tired eyes caused from reading, work or smartphones. It certainly helped to make me fall asleep faster and I have to force myself to stay awake ( to record how it works ) to bring you this review so please appreciate my efforts behind the scenes. :)

Conclusion
To conclude, A'pieu Steam Eye Mask ( Dog Edition ) is a nice decent eye mask for travels and to relax the eyes like an eye-spa session with the occasional effectiveness on reducing the under eyebags. If you need something for the eyes after a tired day, then try them out! However, I think I still prefer Mediheal Warming Eye Mask.
