I have been intrigued by the brand for some time but the only reason why I don't purchase them is because I no longer use SLS-laden hair products. While I don't mind using SLS hair products occasionally but I would choose not to buy a hair product with SLS on the first row in the ingredient list. It is my personal choice as I believe there are better ingredients which can replace SLS.

I won the travel sized Sachajuan Moisturizing Shampoo and Moisturizing Conditioner from a giveaway hosted by Sergei on Instagram earlier this year. I was saving these products for a travel trip but since I won't be able to travel because of the pandemic so its best to use them up before expiry.

Swedish brand Sachajuan fuses high-quality ingredients and innovation to produce simple, effective and uncomplicated hair care. A holistic approach and well-balanced active ingredients will leave you with hair that not only looks good, but feels great.

Packaging, Scent and Texture 

My Sachajuan Moisturizing Shampoo comes in a flick-top plastic bottle with 100ml contents while the standard retail size comes in 250ml size. Clear in colour, the shampoo smells nice with a subtle floral scent and foams well.

Similarly to the shampoo, Sachajuan Moisturizing Conditioner also comes in the same flick-top 100ml sized bottle. Creamy in texture, the conditioner has a more distinct scent than the shampoo and reminds me of salon hair products. It coats well on hair.

Performance and Ingredients

Free of parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban, and contains less than one percent of synthetic fragrances, Sachajuan Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner are also vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free, and comes in recyclable packaging.

I enjoyed using the shampoo as it lathers well ( no surprise since it contains SLS ) and provides a luxurious hair shampoo-ing experience. It kept my hair clean, nourished, healthy and manageable.

The conditioner is creamy and I loved applying it on the hair ends to soften it and minimize the frizz. My hair looked healthier and is much manageable.

Conclusion

To conclude, if you don't mind having SLS in your hair products and spending alittle more, then check out Sachajuan Moisturizing Shampoo and Moisturizing Conditioner to add more moisture to your hair. However, honestly speaking, they are alittle pricey for my budget so I won't repurchase it. For the record, I have thick long tresses with dry hair ends.
