Product Description
Containing natural ingredients and abundant minerals from natural Korean mud, this hand cream keeps the hands moisturized and well hydrated. It also includes mud and natural herb extracts namely Lavender, Bergamot, Freesia, Peppermint, Chamomile, Rosemary, Shea butter, Macadamia seed oil, Adenosine and Mango.
I purchased Boryeong Real Mud Hand Cream when there was a 1 for 1 promotion on Hebeloft some time back. A good and nourishing hand cream is much needed during the current pandemic where our hands are so dry from sanitizing. I have yet to find a good and effective hand cream and was hoping that this Real Mud Hand Cream can do the job well.
Produced from the nutrient-rich mud of the South Korea city of Boryeong, popularly known for its high-nutrient sea mud, usually used for cosmetic and their annual mud festival.
The Boryeong Mud Skincare contains Sodium, Magnesium, and Calcium natural minerals that have antibacterial and antiseptic effect on the skin. These natural mud products will aid in the removal of excess sebum from the body, moisturises the skin, and provides the skin with high-valued nutrients to help it stay firm and smooth.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Boryeong Real Mud Hand Cream comes in a white 100ml plastic tube which is considered gigantic for a hand cream as most hand creams are usually 50ml to be handy.
I like that the tube is depress-able and does not lose its shape so that it would always look nice on the dressing table. It has a scent made up of various herb extracts such as Lavender, Bergamot, Freesia, Peppermint, Chamomile and Rosemary and the scent lingers on the palms for some time. Not exactly a favourite scent of mine though.
Initial Application |
Massaging the hand cream |
Creamy with a medium consistency, the hand cream absorbed well into skin and disappeared after a short while.
Performance and Ingredients
The natural mineral in mud extract with active ingredients is said to make the skin look young and fresh with the result being moisturizing and smoothing of skin and thus improve wrinkles.
Unfortunately as with most hand creams, Boryeong Real Mud Hand Cream did not fare particularly well for my perpetually dry hands. While it may appeared to be moisturising during initial application but the effects disappeared after a short while and I found myself to be reapplying the hand cream again.
The hand cream contains an antioxidant composition known as Greenol which contains Lavender, Bergamot, Freesia and Peppermint which helps to protect the skin while smoothening and moisturizing the hands.
Natural Mud, Lavender, Bergamot, Freesia, Peppermint, Chamomile, Rosemary, Shea butter, Macadamia seed oil, Adenosine, Mango
Conclusion
To conclude, Boryeong Real Mud Hand Cream is a decent hand cream for those who are looking to maintain the condition of their hands. If you have mildly dry hands, this might work for you but for someone with severely dry skin like myself, this was not moisturising enough.
