My brother, having just come back from South Korea, bought a stack of Nature Republic masks for me. Its been 2 years since I last use anything from Nature Republic so its time to relook into this brand, just to see if I have missed out anything.
I have tried out a number of Nature Republic products in the past, such as Nature Republic Snail Solution Hydrogel Mask, Nature Republic Argan Aqua Gel Mask, Nature Republic Snail Solution Mask Sheet, Nature Republic Snail Solution 10000 Hydrogel Eye Patch, Nature Republic Snail Therapy 1000 Hydrogel Mask Sheet, Nature Republic Snail Therapy Mask Sheet, Nature Republic Aqua Collagen Solution Marine Hydrogel Mask and Nature Republic Aqua Collagen Solution Marine Hydro Gel Eye Patch.
However, their products did not leave a lasting impression on me so its been a while since I last use their products.
I don't fancy having alcohol in the ingredient list and for this Nature Republic Real Nature Cucumber Mask Sheet, alcohol is the 5th ingredient, which meant a pretty high concentration, so much higher than the supposingly main ingredient - cucumber, which is found in the middle of the list.
Cucumber contains a high content of water, due to its flesh, but also contains ascorbic acid ( Vitamin C ) and caffeic acid, both of which soothe skin irritations, reduce swelling and prevent water retention. This also explains why cucumbers applied topically are helpful for swollen eyes, burns and dermatitis. It is also one of the 10 Natural Ways To Get Rid Of Acne Scars.
Despite being made of 3 layers of cellulose thin material to provide essence deep into skin, the Nature Republic Real Nature Cucumber Mask Sheet tears easily when I tried to adjust it on my skin. It has an artificial cucumber scent which I dislike. The cutting is large, with a larger eye cutout and longer nose flap.
Cooling and refreshing, Real Nature Cucumber Mask Sheet is a bonus pampering treat in our hot weather. My skin has been pretty well-behaved lately, so this mask serves to be a good daily maintenance in terms of hydration. However, I wouldn't repurchase, due to the high alcohol content.
