Review : Beyond Phyto Collagenic Lifting Mask
Thursday, April 14, 2016
Product Description
The 100% cotton mask is soaked in a bottle of essence full of white tea made by drying tea plant sprouts and whitening chrysanthemum ingredients which brightens the skin tone.
I purchased 2 sheet masks from the brand Beyond during my last Testerkorea purchase. It was my first foray into this eco-friendly brand, fronted by Kim Soo Hyun. Beyond is against animal testing, contains minimum chemical fragrance and minimum chemical colorants. You can find out more about the brand here.
Beyond Phyto Collagenic Lifting Mask has a light fragrance which is apparent only if you sniff it close to your nose. The material is of moderate thickness but looks durable enough not to be torn easily.
It provides a comfortable fit to face, with a larger cut-out on the eye area, hence it does not really cover my undereye area. Cooling and refreshing, Beyond Phyto Collagenic Lifting Mask feels nourishing and immediately quenches my ever-thirsty skin.
However, I failed to see any brightening effect after using 2 masks within a week.

Review : One Leaf Perigord Truffle Firming Eye Mask
Monday, April 11, 2016
Product Description
For firming, anti-wrinkle and hydrating purposes.
Key Ingredients :
Black truffle : Smooth and firm eye skin and wrinkles
Cornflower : Makes the skin smooth, fresh and vibrant
I bought a box of the One Leaf Perigord Truffle Firming Eye Mask in Beijing Watsons last December. The whole packaging feels and looks luxe, with thick texture finishing on the white box, probably to match the "perigord truffle" ingredient.
It looks super cute, with its black cat-like mask on the eye area, covering the undereye area and the eyelids area at the same time.
Each box contains 10 individually-packed eye sheets. Thin and moist, the mask adheres comfortably on the eye area, without any irritation. I enjoyed using the Perigord Truffle Firming Eye Mask when my eyes are tired from staring at the computer too long, at the end of day.
While it did not provide any long-lasting effects, but my eyes feel more rested.

Review : O&M Conditioning Detangler
Friday, April 8, 2016
Product Description
Dread nothing. Get tangle free with this perfect union of nourishing Australian natives. Cold-pressed organic Argan and Macadamia oils combine to recondition the hair leaving it glossy and knot free
Macadamia Seed Oil: Replenishes and enriches the hair, making it softer while improving elasticity.
Cold-pressed organic Argan Oil: Restores shine and softness to dry, brittle hair, and nourishes hair damaged by heat or colouring. Improves hair strength and health.
Because of my thick and long hair, I tend to look out for detangler treatment products, especially if I permed my hair. I have not had a perm for awhile now, hence I am using this detangler on my almost straight but slightly wavy hair ( I have natural curls ) for the past several months.
I owned a 250ml sized OM Conditioning Detangler which is cumbersome to hold and spray with one hand as the bottle can be slightly slippery with its smooth texture, combined with my wet hands. The spritz is not fine enough and comes out in bursts. I have decant it into a smaller travel-friendly bottle that makes it such a breeze to be used.
It has a nice scent, lasts for ages and works to detangle the knots on my hair ends. I usually use it on the ends of my damp hair, just before I left the house. Hair is left feeling soft and tangle-free.
Ingredients:
Purified Water, Amodimethicone, Cetrimonium Chloride , Trideceth- 12, Polysorbate-20, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernal (Argan) Oil*, Phenoxyethanol, Ethyhexyl Methoxycinnimate, Panthenol, Parfum (Fragrance), Citric Acid.

Review : Too Cool For School Pink Girl Jelly Base
Tuesday, April 5, 2016
Product Description
Too Cool For School Pink Girl Jelly Base can create a matte and smooth finish to skin. Fine glittering particles and rosy pink tone base with a semi jelly-like texture, can cover large pores to leave skin bright and lustrous. With the complement of aloe vera, it can provide long-lasting moisture to skin to keep make-up long-lasting.
I received 2 sample sachets during my last testerkorea purchase and used it recently since my current primer has been used up. Too Cool For School is a brand which I am not that familiar with, as I hardly ever use their products. It was only in Singapore for a short while, as compared to other Korea brands.
The name 'Too Cool For School" sounds playful yet somehow, the kiosk at Westgate has an edgy vibe that does not resonate well with me.
Pink Girl Jelly Base can be used in both ways - as a base or as a highlighter. I think it is always nice to have a multi-purpose use for a single product, as it provides that value-for-money mentality.
I have tried Too Cool For School Pink Girl Jelly Base in 3 ways. As a primer alone, before my BB cream and after my sunscreen. As a primer, mixed in with my BB cream. As a highlighter, used on top of my cheeks.
The Pink Girl Jelly Base has a light subtle floral fragrance, with an emollient texture that makes spreading it on the skin, easy. On my fingers, the colour looks pretty pinkish, with tiny shimmers but once applied, the glow is almost non-existent.
Frankly speaking, I don't really see a difference to my complexion after using Too Cool For School Pink Girl Jelly Base as a primer or after mixing in with my BB Cream, It blends in seamlessly but there is no expected glow.
As a highlighter on its own, it imparts a barely-there but natural glow.
Review : Yves Rocher Botanical Scrub
Saturday, April 2, 2016
Product Description
To scrub your skin, as you purify it, Yves Rocher Botanical Beauty Research selected:
- naturally exfoliating apricot kernel powder,
- purifying saro essential oil,
- Mexican agave sap from organically grown ingredients for its moisturizing properties
Yves Rocher has once exited our Singapore shores but its back again, with better pricing and more promotions. A 150ml size of the Yves Rocher Botanical Scrub costs $27 but I purchased it at $18.90 after a 30% discount during the GSS last year.
The tube is easy to use with light depressions where the contents flow out easily. Simple and no-frills. It has a uplifting scent which is perfect for the lazy mornings where you force yourself to move your butt for work or school.
The scrub is creamy with tiny beads that will hardly hurt your skin just because it is so mild and gentle. It does made my skin softer and slightly smoother but it is not the Wow kind.
