thanks for posting the awards.
i think, the reader choice might be slightly more credible than the editor choice because u know editor tend to skew their favorable opinion towards the paid advertiser, sponsorship and not to mention, brand that showers them with goodies so ya...would be biased. *wink*

In a way, yes. And I wondered how the editors review the products too, being so many categories.
And while I used to be quite interested in these yearly awards, I realized the selection of products were limited. You were given a choice to choose among a handful of products and probably none of them may be even be a favourite of the user, in some categories.

I was reading about a blogger being a guest editor or something on Cleo, and she mentioned about trying many beauty products within a week and provide reviews. I was actually disappointed how it was done. How can the skin take so many new products and give a review within such a short time frame? Then again, time to market is important for sales of magazines. *shrugs*

yes i truly agree with you on this, many times editor review can be biased due to time constraint and a urge to please; who knows big companies pay big bucks to support their magazine sales through endorsement and ad placement and it means a lot to their business. i think most importantly we need to check our ingredient on site like http://www.ewg.org/
