1.Papaya. Many Thai women use papaya as a refreshing face mask, and it's so simple to do. Just scoop out the flesh of the fruit, mix it with a little bit of fresh lemon and apply to your face. Leave on about 10 or 15 minutes and wash off. With the antioxidants in the fruit, your face will be clean and glowing. This mask not only cleans the skin it also wards off wrinkles.
2.Lemongrass Detoxifier. Lemongrass is in many Thai dishes. It's a pungent smelling herb that gives Thai food so much of its wonderful flavors. But Thai women also use it as a detoxifier. Chop up lemongrass and add some chopped ginger, basil and jasmine. Boil all this in water for about 10 minutes, then cool the liquid. Once it's cooled, add some lemon or lime and drink throughout the day. It's an amazing detoxifier for the whole body as well as a digestive aid.
3.Turmeric. Turmeric is an unbelievable facial scrub. You can either buy the fresh turmeric and grind it but, as this is a bit time-consuming, you can use the dried turmeric, which works just as well. Wet your face then pour a little turmeric powder into your hands, add some water and make a paste. Spread the turmeric paste all over your face and rub well in for 3-5 minutes. Wash off. You will notice your skin is a little tingly and also has a very slight orange color to it. Don't worry, as that will wash off with just a little soap and water. Your skin will feel fresh all day and will have an unbelievable glow to it. It also is reputed to get rid of fine lines.
4. Thai massage. Thais usually have massages at least once a week and some even more often. The Thais are world-renowned for their massages, and deservedly so. A Thai massage is a little harder than a Western massage and also requires the body being moved around, limbs pulled, neck stretched etc. When you're getting the massage you feel like you're being beaten up a bit, but when you leave you will feel like a new person. Massage rids the body of toxins as well as soothes aching muscles. Have a Thai massage and you'll feel ten years younger.
5. The Thai Diet. Thais eat a lot of rice and vegetables with Thai dishes that have many herbs and spices but only a little meat. Red meat normally weighs you down and clogs the body, so Thais either eat a little bit or eat lots of fish or seafood instead. Spices also clean the body and thus make the skin fresh and glowing. Eat Thai food several times a week and you will definitely notice an improvement in your body and your energy level.
6. Thai Drinks. Thai women also drink a lot of water and fruit juices. Very few of them consume alcohol. Coffee is becoming a lot more popular in Thailand, but green tea is still king. Green tea has many antioxidant properties and has also been linked to cancer prevention. Most Thai women will choose green tea, water or fruit juice before coffee or alcohol, which is probably why so many of them are so beautiful. So, for a quick pick me up, ditch the coffee and try a green tea shake (blend green tea with vanilla yoghurt and a scoop of lemon sherbet), a fresh fruit juice or a fruit shake (3 or 4 of your favorite fruits mixed with yoghurt and ice and blended).
