Product Description
The concoction of honey and black sugar is excellent in treating exhausted and tired skin, and in bringing back the natural beauty of your skin. Regular use will reveal the layer of baby soft skin in hiding. Skin tone becomes clear and glowing just after one use! A must have mask pack!
I had 2 generous sized sachets from Korea, during one of my purchases, some time back and never really got started on it, till recently.
First of all, the scent is simple awesome. The mixture of honey and black sugar smells so delicious that it feels almost like some food. I wondered if ants would be attracted to such a sweet mixture.
I love the scent so much.
Even though the name of the product contains the word "mask" , I thought it was more of a scrub than a mask. Or maybe the correct word should be, its a deep cleansing mask. The texture of the light brown contents is sticky with some exfoliating beads in it. The weird thing is, I do not know how to use it. When I tried to use it on wet skin, the water proved to be too much for the mask, I cannot feel any exfoliating beads. When I tried to use it on a dry face, the exfoliating beads felt gruff against my delicate skin and its difficult to massage the beads.
Nowadays I just massaged in those exfoliating beads and leave it on the wet face for a few minutes then wash it off. My skin feels softer and slightly cleaner on the nose area but I thought the performance is just medicore, something which I can find in other products easily.

Review : Mandom Cleansing Express Moist Cleansing Sheets
Sunday, February 27, 2011
Product Description
- 100% oil-free and water-based
- Provides powerful cleansing action, just like cleansing oil
- Gentle to skin
- Quick floating function quickly lifts mnakeup from deep inside pores to surfasce for easy removal
- 3 in 1 lotion which removes make-up tones and moisturises in 1 step
- Contains moisturising properties
After the widely successful cleansing lotion, I was keen to try out their cleansing sheets, afterall, its a handy product for travels and I do travel a few times per year, either for work or for leisure. I love travelling. Who doesn't, right? It breaks the mundane routine of everyday life.
I picked this up for 210yen ($3.31) in Japan whereas its retailing for $4.95 in Watsons Singapore. Relatively cheaper but not by alot.
Its actually difficult for me to pick up products in Japan, because I have a poor memory and I cannot remember the names and their prices and do not want to risk buying a wrong product. For some drugstore products like Haba Labo and Juju available in both Watsons Singapore and Japan drugstores, the packaging seems different and I cannot differentiate between a cleanser, lotion or moisturiser in Japanese language, so I did not get them.
Instead I picked up this pack of cleansing sheets and thankfully, I did not buy more because unlike the lotion, I do not really like their cleansing sheets.
It comes in a pack of 3 sachets in each pack, with 2 small cotton square pads (6.5cm by 6.5cm) in each sachet, which made it a total of 6 cotton pads for usage. However, because each sachet is not sealable, either you have to use up both pads once sachet is torn or keep the remaining pad in a ziplock bag to prevent drying out. Urgh. I hate such inconvenience and usually used up 2 pads in a row, 1 for the face and 1 for the eyes, just right for me. However, that also meant that each pack only can last me for 3 times of usages. 50cents per small square pad. Still reasonable cost, I would say.
The first time I used it, it stings my eyes real badly, leaving my eyes red and raw. The sheets are heavily soaked in essence so when I tried to remove my eye make-up, the liquid got into my eyes. I wouldn't recommend those with sensitive eyes to use these sheets to cleanse the eye make-up. How can cleansing sheets be so difficult to manage?
The face make-up are relatively easy to clear off with just 1 sheet, used on both sides. That itself is highly commendable. Its non-sticky and my skin does not feel tight or dry after each use.
Touted to be 100% oil-free, fragrance free, colouring free, paraben-free and alcohol free, I wish that I can say I love this cleansing sheets but sadly, no. I would not get it again.
I do not fancy the thought of bringing cleansing sheets for the face and a separate eye make-up remover for my travels. And it hurts the eyes real bad. The dripping lotion from the sheets can be quite a mess too.

Review : My Beauty Diary Natto Sheet Mask
Monday, February 14, 2011
Product Description
Anti aging and firming effect with supplementary moisturizing element. Skin elasticity improved and very well hydrated.
Key Ingredients
Isoflavones - postpones aging, restores skin's firmness and resilience
Natto extract - stimulates and activates cells for hydration
Extract of seaweed from deep ocean - offers skin adequate moisture content
Lucky me, I had the chance to try out some of the different flavours of the masks via a Taiwan vacation trip and friends for the past 2 years. In general, the facial masks seem to work well on my combination but sensitive, easily dehydrated skin. So when I got the chance to visit Taiwan during a work trip mid last year, I decided to try this new flavour, since it contains moisturising and anti-aging ingredients.
As with all MBD masks, the sheet material is thin and I tore once out of the 5 times I have used it. And similar to the previous masks which I have tried before, its heavily saturated and wet but without the dripping messiness. Even after an hour, the mask sheet is still that wet.
It scored an impressive 4.7 from Makeupalley with 100% of the 7 users willing to buy again
With all the rave reviews from the beauty blogsphere, I should be raving about this mask too, right? Wrong! In fact, I cannot seem to make this mask work on my skin even after 4 sheet masks over a 2 weeks period. I must be doing something wrong, I thought. How can it work on all other types of skin, except mine? It can't be.
And so for the following next 3 nights, I used up another 3 masks and this time, instead of cleansing off the residue on the face, after treatment, I let it sink into my skin. Oh my, what a difference it made. I never knew such a small act will make such a vast difference to my skin. Skin feels comfortable and well-rested.
The next day, I woke up with soft hydrated and smooth skin. I cannot believe it. Now I know why this is a hot favourite mask from those who have tried it, because this mask is going to be on my list too.

Review : Sato Hakubi Memoto Eye Mask
Tuesday, February 8, 2011
Product Description
Add moisture to keep skin around the eye and the mouth area firm and tight.
Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramide, Marine collagen provide extra moisture effect.
Applying the gel sheet under your eyes feels nice and cold!!
I bought 2 packs way back in September when Nishino Pharmacy was having a 1 for 1 promotion so I paid just $7.35 for 2 instead of 1 pack. Each pack consists of 3 pairs. Considering that its made in Japan and containing Hyaluronic acid, Ceramide and Marine Collagen, I thought it was quite a steal.
"Memoto"means the area under your eyes, in japanese!
Recommended for people over 30 years who wants to prevent wrinkles and fine lines around the eye area. each pair of eye masks boast of the following benefits :
Hyaluronic acid : Excellent moisturizing properties for skin
Ceramide : Provides extra moisturizing for skin, ensuring that it stays moist and supple
Marine collagen : Keeps skin youthful and firm
Jojoba Seed Oil : Replenish skin oils and regulate its production
Based on the description, I am wondering how the eye masks can help to keep my mouth area firm. That sort of puzzled me, does that meant, I should be using each pair of eye masks near my mouth area?
I have been using both boxes over a 2 weeks period and since its made in Japan and have the neccessary key ingredients, I had very high hopes of it.
I am appalled that each pair of eye masks while individually wrapped, once opened, its pasted onto a flimsy film of paper like some cheap packaging. I would expect something better from Japan goods, especially since the original price is $7.35 for 3 pairs.
It has a strawberry scent and while deliciously scented, its abit funny on the eye area. Its fine on the face area, just funny to be layering on the undereye area.
The sticky adhesive on each pair made sure its securely adhered on the undereye area. Its not wet at all, but dry with a foamy cushion white patch. In fact, I feel nothing at all, after each treatment.
Definitely not something I would get again.
Ingredients :

Review : Shiseido Pureness Cleansing Water
Monday, February 7, 2011
Product Description
A gentle wipe-off cleanser that whisks away makeup and impurities. Skin is refreshed and clean, yet feels dewy and comfortable
I bought this from Strawberrynet several months ago and I believe this product have since been discontinued. Oil-free and alcohol-free, these 2 points are enough for me to get this product. You may have noticed that this is my first Shiseido product review as I hardly used this brand.
My first encounter with this brand was during my secondary school days, when I used their soothing lotion to calm my skin every morning. I cannot remembered the exact name now, as I have stopped using it for years.
I would consider this as my 2nd product from this brand and I think it opened up my eyes to their products once again. I used this as a make-up remover every evening and it effectively takes everything off with just 1 cotton pad. I am truly impressed by its cleansing power. 1 cotton pad is enough for me to cleanse off all the make-up gunk (excluding eye make-up) whereas for other cleansing water, I would need 2 cotton pads.
But I do not use very heavy make-up so I cannot verify on those claims if this cleansing water is indeed superior. For my current make-up regime, this cleansing water is good enough for me and is better than most other cleansing water I have used before.
However, I do think that its heavily scented which I rather do without. Lesser irritants would be good for the skin, I thought.
This product received 3.9 points from 7 users from Makeupalley

Review : Somang Danahan Hongbojin Sheet Mask
Thursday, February 3, 2011
Product Description
With foundation on the theory of Yin-yang and the Five Elements, it will replenish your skin with beauty and healthiness.
Benefits
- Rich in exquisite red ginseng and young deer antler extracts
- Promotes youthfulness and skin health based on traditional Korean and Chinese medicine (30-hongbodan, Yin and Yang and the Five Elements)
- Whitening, moisturizing effect
- Instant results in days!
- 100% cotton hypoallergenic mask
Main Ingredients
Danahan : Based on the principle of positive and negative energy, created with Hyoyong-Jinaek (fermented deer antlers) and 30 Hongbodan or thirty kinds of oriental ingredients listed in Bonchogangmok, Donguibogam and various traditional medical books
HYOYONG JINAEK : Meaning “fermented young deer antlers”, an ingredient used to promote one’s body’s metabolism and strength, add resilience and radiance to one’s skin by increasing skin stamina and recovery
30 HONGBODAN : A formula made from 30 types of Chinese medicinal herbs designed to maintain the balance of energy, water and blood in one’s body. It helps to keep your skin fair and luminous by revitalising imbalanced and problem ridden skin. Consists of Red Ginseng (Hong) as its main ingredient, and other exotic and valuable herbs (Bodan)
I bought 3 masks from this range quite some time back and have been using them last week. The material of the Somang Danahan Hongbojin Sheet Mask is made of 100% cotton and fits quite snugly on my skin. Its fragrance reminds me of some herbal scent which can be considered as overpowering for some. In fact, it kinds of overwhelmed me when I first layered on the face.
Despite its superior ingredients as claimed, it failed to heal the flakiness on my skin. I wouldn't considered it as very moisturising for my dehydrated skin type. There is a subtle brightening effect and thats about it.
My face was quite sticky after treatment and even after cleansing off with water, it was better but still slightly sticky. Skin feel softer but only temporary as it was back to its original state the next day.
Do note that it does contain alcohol as its 8th ingredient.
