[ Review ] Jowae Clarifying Mineral Mask

Jowaé Clarifying Mineral Mask is formulated to provide you with an instant radiance-revealing treatment. Containing antioxidant lumiphenols and white tea, it provides a clarifying effect on even the most sensitive skin. The mask's formula also utilizes micro-exfoliating perlite that is known to help clarify your complexion. Additionally, sea buckthorn berry extract helps to free skin of its impurities for a more luxurious result. Post application, your complexion will be even, smoother and much more radiant. Our product has been tested by dermatologists and boasts an excess of 98% natural ingredients, including being paraben free, phenoxyethanol free, mineral oil free, animal ingredients free, silicone free and synthetic colorants free.

I purchased this mask quite awhile ago, when there was a sale and I needed a clay mask for my combination skin. 

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Jowae Clarifying Mineral Mask comes in a tub packaging. It features a grey, balm-like texture that gradually warms up upon contact with dry skin for about three minutes. This warming sensation is not noticeable when applied on damp skin.

Product Description

Jowae Purifying Clay Mask is the instant mattifying care product for combination and oily skin. It combines Lumiphenols with sacred lotus and pure clay, known to absorb impurities and excess sebum. It also contains a papaya enyzme with exfoliating properties. 

It purifies, unclogs and tightens pores. The skin is clear, balanced and matified. Pores are unclogged and tightened. The complexion is velvety smooth and radiant.

As my skin matured, I began noticing it was more prone to breakouts, especially at the chin area so I decided to incorporate a purifying mask into my routine to help combat congestion, blemishes, and occasional dullness.

And it happened that I chanced upon Jowae Purifying Clay Mask on Robinsons Singapore and there it goes into my cart.

Jowae Purifying Clay Mask comes in a 50ml tub with an airy cream foam green texture and a kaolin fragrance. 

[ Review ] Jowae Revitalizing Moisturizing Shower Gel

 

Product Description

Its a real pleasure to feel water running over your skin after a hard day with this shower gel based on hibiscus, Koreas iconic flower, for a deep feeling of relaxation. Its fragrance reveals aromas of exhilarating freesia, orchid and pink cedar. The skin also takes full advantage through replenishing and relaxing hibiscus and antioxidant Lumiphenols, Jowas patented* signature active ingredient.

I purchased several Jowae products from Robinsons late last year and emptied Jowae Soothing Cleansing Milk and Jowae Stimulating Moisturizing Shower Gel so far. 

Jowae Revitalizing Moisturizing Shower Gel is my second shower gel from the brand.

Packaging, Scent and Texture 

Jowae Revitalizing Moisturizing Shower Gel is a 400ml product housed in a plastic tall bottle with a flick top cap. Its perfume, with notes of relaxing hibiscus, leaves the skin delicately scented. The gel texture is clear in colour. 

How To Use :

1) Rinse the skin with water. Apply the product while performing gentle circular movements. 

2) Continue until emulsified. Apply morning and evening.

Performance and Ingredients

Jowaé revitalizing moisturizing shower gel bamboo is a bath care that gently cleanses while respecting the skin’s balance. Thanks to its physiological pH formula and its washing base of natural biodegradable origin, it is suitable for all skin types. Including the most sensitive skin.

Formulated with antioxidant Lumiphenols and Bamboo water, this shower gel contains 95% components of natural origin.

Light and gentle, Jowae Revitalizing Moisturizing Shower Gel suds up easily and lathers well, unfortunately, after using 1/4 of the contents, it started to get drying on skin. 

Similarly to Jowae Stimulating Moisturizing Shower Gel, the gel texture seemed to glide on the surface of skin and doesn't provide a good showering experience. While it left skin soft and smooth, the drying effect isn't what I am looking for, in a shower gel. 

The key ingredients are ....

Lumiphenols : Thanks to its antioxidant content, it helps the skin to rebalance itself while protecting it against daily aggressions.

Bamboo water : As the premium ingredient in this formula,  it is rich in essential vitamins and amino acids with highly moisturizing benefits. In this sense, this active will perform a moisturizing, emollient, and even regenerating action.  

Glycerin : Moisturizing, provides protection and softness to the skin while preserving its elasticity.

Conclusion

To conclude, Jowae Revitalizing Moisturizing Shower Gel isn't the best fit for me, as it is drying even though it lathers and foams well. I also didn't like how it appears to glide over the body rather than doing a thorough cleansing job, hence it won't be a repurchase.

[ Review ] Jowae Soothing Cleansing Milk

 

Product Description

Cleanse make-up and impurities in one step, this fluid oil-free Jowae Soothing Cleansing Milk goes further thanks to its antioxidant Lumiphenols and emollient, soothing Imperial Peony. It also contains vegetable glycerine which reinforces skin hydration and a sunflower and jojoba oil duo for comfort.

I have previously emptied the Jowae Stimulating Moisturizing Shower Gel which wasn't a good fit for me and hence, I didn't harbour any high expectations for the cleansing milk. So it was a surprise that I ended up liking it very much. 

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Jowae Soothing Cleansing Milk is a 200ml product with a flick-top lid that dispenses the thin runny cleansing milk without much fuss. It has a subtle floral scent.

How To Use :

Soak a cotton pad or cloth with the Soothing Cleansing Milk and slide it over the skin without scrubbing, to remove make-up and impurities.

Performance and Ingredients

Antioxidant Lumiphenols & Imperial Peony cleanses and removes make-up from normal to dry skin even sensitive ones. This milk gently cleanses and removes make-up from face and eyes while preserving from skin dryness.

I use Jowae Soothing Cleansing Milk as a second cleanse on most days, after removing makeup with a makeup remover. At my recent Desaru trip, where I have run out of my makeup remover, I used it as a makeup remover ( sunscreen, tinted sunscreen, sunscreen powder and blusher ) and as a cleanser, hence double cleansing was what I did. 

My skin is always left soft, comfortable, free of make-up and impurities. 

96% of the ingredients are of natural origin and the product is paraben free, phenoxyethanol free, mineral oil free, no ingredients of animal origin, silicone free, without synthetic dyes.

Conclusion

To conclude, Jowae Soothing Cleansing Milk is a gentle cleanser and makeup remover that cleanses well, leaving skin soft and comfortable, and never dry or irritated. I cannot attest to using it primarily as a makeup remover for heavy makeup as I use it as a second cleanse on most days. I will repurchase it as a gentle milk cleanser.

I purchased several Jowae products during my last haul from Robinsons and this is the first product from the brand which I am currently using.

Jowae Stimulating Moisturizing Shower Gel is housed in a 400ml clear bottle with a flick-top cap. It is lightly fragranced with a hint of ginger and hisbicus. The gel texture is smooth and glides effortlessly on skin.

There is a smaller size of 200ml but since I go through shower gels pretty quickly, it is a no-brainer to pick up the larger size. 

Performance and Ingredients

Suitable for all skin types, this shower gel has a gel texture which foams moderately well, however, it seems to glide across the body and felt like it is just siting on the surface during every lathering. Although it did left my skin feeling soft and clean but there was a subtle drying after-feel which I am not fond of. 

Despite being touted as a Moisturizing Shower Gel, this isn't moisturizing, but has a subtle drying after-feel, hence it is not for me.

Conclusion

To conclude, Jowae Stimulating Moisturizing Shower Gel is not a suitable body wash for me. Even though it lathers and foams well but it left a subtle drying feel on the skin. I also didn't like how it appears to glide over the body rather than doing a thorough cleansing job.
