Toner pads offer convenience and targeted benefits (hydration, soothing, exfoliation, pore care and oil control). They can be easy to use with mess-free application and may also double up as quick masking. Unfortunately, most toner pads do not have a place in my skincare routine, as I can easily replace them with my skincare products. However, I appreciate having exfoliating toner pads like Anua Heartleaf 77 Clear Pad in my weekly routine.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Anua Heartleaf 77 Clear Pad contains 160ml contents with 70 pieces of toner pads fully soaked in
Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner in a tub with a flick lid and an enclosed tweezer. All the 70 pads are stacked upon each other and each pad has 2 different sides - the embossed side for exfoliation and the smooth side for soothing. It has a subtle naturally occurring scent.
How To Use :
1) After cleansing, gently wipe the entire face, excluding the eye and mouth areas, with the embossed side in the direction of the skin's grain in the first step of basic skincare routine.
2) Wipe again with the opposite soft side of the pad to refine skin texture.
3) Close the lid after use to prevent the pads from drying out.
Tip: Alternatively, use the pad as a soothing mask by placing it on the irritated areas of the skin.

Having combination skin in humid weather makes oil-controlling exfoliating pads a welcome addition to my routine. The clear pad’s embossed side, with thin cross-strip patterns, provides a quick and convenient way to exfoliate with just a few swipes. And then follow up with the other side to soothe the skin after exfoliating.
I love the light exfoliation and how the pads help soothe newly formed zits (random zits on chin), preventing them from worsening. With regular use, I’ve noticed a slight reduction in T-zone oiliness.
Since over-exfoliation can be damaging—especially for mature skin, which has a thinner barrier and slower cell turnover—I limit use to 1-2 times a week.
Bonus tip: These pads work great for exfoliating the neck, chest, elbows, and knees too

Gluconolactone : A type of polyhydroxy acid or PHA that is as effective as AHAs but less sensitising. An effective low-irritation exfoliating ingredient suitable for sensitive skin, which also helps retain moisture. By gently exfoliating dead skin cells, it smooths out the skin's texture without causing irritation.
