The 28 Nature & Pure Protection UV Cut Aqua Sunscreen SPF 50+ / PA+++ Review

Product Description
The 28 Nature & Pure Protection UV Cut Aqua Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA+++ is lightweight, milky-textured sunscreen lotion, designed for ultimate skin protection without the greasy feel. This non-sticky formula effectively controls oil, ensuring a fresh, shine-free finish all day long. Its fine, light, and transparent texture glides smoothly onto the skin without clogging pores or causing acne.

Benefits :
1) Protects the skin from pollution and free radicals that damage the skin
2) Protects the skin from blue light, which is a collagen destroyer
3) Protects the skin from UVA rays, the cause of skin deterioration, and UVB rays, the cause of dull skin and sunburn, which is one of the causes of skin cancer, for up to 12 hours with effective and safe sunscreens, combined with the effectiveness of concentrated antioxidants from natural extracts to nourish the skin, moisturize, reduce dullness, prevent and reduce wrinkles.

I requested my hubby to purchase The 28 Nature & Pure Protection UV Cut Aqua Sunscreen SPF 50+ / PA+++ from Bangkok when he was there to attend a colleague's wedding. It is a Thailand brand but the product is made in Korea.

According to the brand, the origin of the number 28 is that our skin cells shed dead skin cells on average and create new skin cells every 28 days, called the "Turnover Period." This gave birth to a skin care product that helps strengthen and balance skin damaged by various pollutants, bringing it back to being naturally beautiful and clear, along with ingredients that are friendly to the skin, free from synthetic ingredients, petrochemicals, alcohol, and others.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

The 28 Nature & Pure Protection UV Cut Aqua Sunscreen SPF 50+ / PA+++ Texture

The 28 Nature & Pure Protection UV Cut Aqua Sunscreen is a 40ml product with a pull-out cap. It has a slim dispenser where the milky sunscreen lotion texture flows out easily for use. Unfortunately, there was a musty scent which I am not a fan of. There is a subtle white cast as well.

How To Use :
1) Shake well before use.
2) Apply all over the face and neck 20 minutes before sun exposure or reapply every 2-3 hours if exposed to sunlight continuously or sweating.

Performance and Ingredients

The 28 Nature & Pure Protection UV Cut Aqua Sunscreen SPF 50+ / PA+++

The 28 Nature & Pure Protection UV Cut Aqua Sunscreen has a lightweight milky formula that protects skin from UVA, UVA, blue light and infrared rays for up to 12 hours. However, it is drying for my skin type and makeup does not glide well, hence I prefer to use it on its own on well-hydrated skin during exercise or for the arms, if I am heading for work.

Using a sunscreen with SPF50 and PA+++ ensures you are well-protected from both UVB and UVA rays. This dual protection helps in preventing immediate sun damage (like sunburn) and long-term effects (such as premature aging and skin cancer). Regular use of high-protection sunscreens supports overall skin health, keeping it youthful and reducing the risk of serious conditions like melanoma and other skin cancers.

PA++++ is the highest rating, meaning it provides extremely high UVA protection. This is crucial for preventing long-term skin damage and maintaining skin health.

The 3 UV filters in this sunscreen are....

Ethylhexyl Triazone : A new generation, chemical sunscreen that gives the highest photo-stable absorption of all available UVB filters today. Also known as Octyl Triazone and Uvinul T 150.

Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate : A new generation, chemical sunscreen agent with high UVA protection and high photostability. Also known as Uvinul A Plus.

Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol : Also known as Tinosorb M, this is a "hybrid" sunscreen meaning it's half-way between physical (the ones that, at least partly, reflect the sun) and chemical agents (that absorb the rays, which most sunscreens do).  It is a new generation UV filter and gives a nice broad-spectrum coverage (280-400 nm, meaning UVB as well as UVA protection) and is highly photostable. It can also help to stabilize other less stable sunscreens, like Octinoxate and work well with other UV-filters.

The safety profile of Tinosorb M is great. It is not absorbed into the skin unlike some other chemical sunscreens and does not show estrogenic activity. However, Tinosorb M leaves a white cast on the skin that can be bothersome on darker skin tones.

Conclusion

To conclude, The 28 Nature & Pure Protection UV Cut Aqua Sunscreen SPF 50+ / PA+++ isn't a product which I would repurchase. It has a musty scent, a subtle white cast ( not a deal breaker for me ) and drying for my skin type.
