[ Review ] : Pretty Skin Hyaluronic Cleansing Water

Product Description
Leaves a clean, refreshing feeling after removing makeup effectively! It contains Sodium Hyaluronate and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract that helps to gently exfoliates while keeping our skin moisturized and improves skin elasticity.

I have been using Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution since 2012 so when I run out of the last bottle in my stash, I decided to try cleansing water from other brands and that was when I chanced upon Pretty Skin Hyaluronic Cleansing Water.

Made in Korea, Pretty Skin has a wide range of products under the brand - you can check it out here., however not all the products can be found in Singapore. I purchased mine from Hebeloft.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Pretty Skin Hyaluronic Cleansing Water is housed in a large 500ml plastic bottle with simple and clean illustration.

It has a strong alcohol scent, however, strangely, it is not stated in the ingredient list. The texture is like clear water which is common for micellar water.

For the uninitiated, Micellar water is a cleanser, containing suspended surfactant molecules which, by nature, attract dirt and oil. It can be used as a cleanser or as a makeup remover but I always believe in double cleanse, so I tend to use cleansing water AKA micellar water as a makeup remover.

Performance and Ingredients

When I first started using Pretty Skin Hyaluronic Cleansing Water, I found the alcohol scent to be too strong for my likes and it initially irritates the broken capillaries on the sides of my nose, making it red, dry and rough.

After one week, I have grown accustomed to the alcohol scent ( even though I still don't like it ) and my skin was no longer that irritated so I continue using it, till I depleted it 4 months later.

Pretty Skin Hyaluronic Cleansing Water works moderately well as a make-up remover, removing both face and eye makeup without tightness. However, it is not as effective as my favourite Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution as I need 2 cotton pads to do a better cleanse instead of the usual 1 cotton pad with Bioderma Micelle Solution.

Strangely, the cotton pad tends to pick much dirt from my skin, even though on days when I just had sunscreen or lounging at home. I usually don't get such "dirt" from my Bioderma Micelle Solution so I can only guess those are either real dirt which Bioderma Micelle Solution can't pick up or dead cells from my skin, since its touted that it can exfoliate the skin.

Pretty Skin Hyaluronic Cleansing Water is said to contain
