A 30ml travel sized Arcona Magic Black Ice Volcanic Exfoliating Mask was part of a Sephora set which I purchased some time back. It lasted me for 6 times of usages.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
The exfoliating mask comes in a tube that requires several hard depressions as the tube material is stiff and hard. It has an indescribable scent that smells warm and minty just like its sensation on the skin.

The mask spreads thinly on the face with a soothing warming sensation that disappears as quickly as it comes and is replaced with a cooling minty sensation in its place for as long as the mask is on the face, which in my case, is 10 - 20 minutes. It doesn't dries up like how a clay mask does.
The ashy-black coloured mask has some nitty gritty beads to provide that exfoliating action.
How To Use
Use 1 or 2 times a week on clean, dry skin.
Apply evenly to face and neck, and leave on for 8-20 minutes.
Activate additional exfoliation by gently massaging with wet fingertips in a circular motion for 1 minute before removal.
Rinse with warm water.
Performance and Ingredients
I love the mask. After a 10 - 20 minutes masking session, my skin was instantly smoother ( super duper smooth! ) and slightly brighter. Pores on my nose appeared to be minimized but blackheads were still apparent. Skin looked fresh and glowing the following morning. I couldn't ask for a better brightening mask!
You can also exfoliate ( wet your fingers and massage the mask on skin ) after masking, before rinsing off - skin definitely looks much brighter as compared to no exfoliation and just rinse off after masking. However, it felt abrasive on my skin and left red patches where the pigmentation spots were. I am unsure if its "working" its magic but it wasn't a pleasant experience.
Do note that, I avoided using the mask on the broken capillaries on both sides of the nose to avoid any undesirable effects.

To conclude, Arcona Magic Black Ice Volcanic Exfoliating Mask is a great exfoliating and brightening mask. However, since it is not exactly affordable, you can get a travel size to try out first, before investing in the full retail size.
